  • Kia Ora Mate :) Im a kiwi too damn good effort where abouts did you lads film this Auckland somewhere ? :P

  • @TYLERSARMY

Hey mate, good to see some other Kiwis watching my movies :D We filmed this on a section of some farmland in the Tauranga region. The place was quite a good find for around our area.

  • So good I subed

  • @thematty2303

    Thanks!

  • @JessesWarMovies how are you going with your k98? I'm fixing what I did wrong on my Luger. Right now I'm up to make the toggle but i can't finish if I don't have dowel.

  • @MrRichie1945

Hmm, kinda the same as the last time you asked, but good

  • @JessesWarMovies

Hey what up? I've been working on my Luger for about a month and it still not completed. Lol. Recently I was working on the details on the second layer and I ingeniously stuffed it up so I'm doing another one so how is the Karbinër k98 going?

  • @MrRichie1945

Hey. lol good job. Keep trying >.<. Good, got the bolt moving which is awesome and turns out the wood does a much better job than PVC or metal cause I managed to shape it just like the real one :D

  • Hey! I bought an M-43 uniform with lots of gear to make a battle of the bulge short film, and this year it has not snowed yet :( so I plan on making a D-day short instead. But is it at all possible that a 101st airborne soldier would be wearing an M-43 on D-day? If not, what about Market Garden?

    Thanks!

  • @dstruxness

Hey mate, that'll be sweet. Unfortunately I would say no. Obviously they were first produced in '43 but not in enough mass to be issued for D-Day. On close inspection from 'The Longest Day', the 82nd are wearing them in England prior to D-Day, but that film has alot of inaccuracies anyway, and I haven't heard of any exclusive D-Day M43 issues.. Market Garden absolutely; there were 10x the M43's present there than M42's, so you'd be more than accurate to do a Op M.G. film :D

  • @JessesWarMovies Ok Thanks! If I finish it I will make sure to send it your way :D

  • @dstruxness

Would love to see it mate :D

  • @JessesWarMovies did rangers who used thompsons have a back pack (haversack)? cuz in june im going to a ww2 conevntion in reading PA and im trying to get my uniform ready before the show. PLZ respond with helpful tips, thx so much!

  • @Thoseguysairsofters

Hey. All rangers and infantry were issued with the M1928 haversack regardless of weapon. A minority managed to acquire musette bags but if you're getting a Rangers kit together, yeah get a haversack.

  • Can you a video about how to the bolt grips on to a shell and ejects with a long explanation?

  • @MrRichie1945

It's not going to have ejecting shells, just a working bolt

  • sweet

  • great war film!

  • @ww2101stand28th

    Thanks!

  • @JessesWarMovies

Hey Jesse, I was wondering about your Karbinër 98k can you give us an update? It hears like it's nearly done. Plz and also my Luger is just days from finishing.

  • @MrRichie1945

The project is too minor to do a progress update like my M1 Garand. I need a different material for the bolt tube, but we don't have any of the size :P

  • very nice man, when your more experianced you could try colour correcting not that it's a problem and as i said very nice

  • @legoWW2STARWARSdude

Thanks man. I desaturated it using the youtube editor lol

  • @JessesWarMovies

Well I must say that is a great written script but you know there was too much wind blowing to the mic and camera shakes. You can reduce this by mounting a 'Shotgun Microphone' on a boom over the actors and to reduce camera shakes you need a tripod or a dolly (which you can make one). I already have these in my garage. I'm tryin' help you.

  • @MrRichie1945

Thanks for the comment, and I accept constructive criticism, but it doesn't bother me as this is just a home movie, and I feel the wind gives an eerie effect, especially when they first enter the forest. As long as it doesn't muffle the speaking (which is doesn't) then it's fine. I agree a tripod would be great for the panning shots at the start, but all of the shaking and handheld filming otherwise is intentional to give a 'Saving Private Ryan' first person effect. :D

  • Well done! You pulled off the action well

  • @jkilts

    Thanks Tom!

  • Awesome man!

  • @MrALEJANDRO13579

    Thanks bro :D

  • YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS GOOD JOB :)

  • @issenterprise1

    Thank you!

  • this is epic, the outfits were great and i thought your acents were good, good use of effects too, keep it up man

  • @scoutmachinima

    Thanks so much man!

  • If you color corrected it would be wayyy better. But it is still good! Nice job man!

  • @ww298kscope

Thanks man! I did use the youtube editor to desaturate it quite a bit, but other than that I can't get any decent effects from Movie Maker haha

  • amazing costumes! hey, where are u located? possible to make a video with you?

  • @DannyWelchvid

Thanks mate, except for the civvy shoes haha. I'm in the North Island of New Zealand

  • Really nice job!

  • @1ryanfamily

    Cheers mate :D

  • HOLEY SHIT!!!!!! ALL MOST BETTER THAN band of brothers :o

  • @FOXTROTAIRSOFT1

Thanks! The shot running into the forest was kinda inspired from the episode 'Crossroads' in BoB when Easy runs on the smoke grenade.

  • that was awesome! You guys did really good with the accents :D

  • @dstruxness

    Thanks man! We try lol

  • Awesome film man! Make more!

  • @The501stPIR

Yeah, if we don't do any big films there'll still be some good scenes coming. Thanks!

  • Well done jesse :D epic job liked it ;D

  • @101stairbornedan

Thanks Dan it means a lot :D

  • Not bad on the American accents, boyo...Not a bad video for you kiwis :) I liked it

  • @FalconKPD

Haha thanks man. Yeah, my friends had never done any WW2 American stuff till now

  • @JessesWarMovies Well it's a GREAT start! I look forward to more!

  • Nice video.

  • Dude, that was awesome! I like how you used realistic gunfire sound effects. Well done and i cant wait for more!

  • @mastermike95

Thanks so much man. It sounds cheesy but believe it or not, if it weren't for your videos back in the old days this video probably wouldn't be here today. Yup, every main gun sound effect in this is from the actual weapons. If I'm not too busy this year I'm gonna be wanting to make a decent length feature film in a way similar to this, but with a storyline and more scenes. But yeah, I have big exams starting this year lol

  • @JessesWarMovies Remember.If you can.Use blanks

  • @usafisasome

    I'm only 15 lol

  • haha awesome bro, im to lazy to do anything like this

  • @honk267

Haha, I don't blame you man

  • Well done as always, can't wait to see more :)

  • @theMilkShakeMan100

Thanks alot! Well we have the set now, but it depends when I can be bothered again haha
