After numerous articles and videos, I will side with caution when purchasing granite. Granted, the industry provides provides an incredible product that can last an entire lifetime, but my concern is for my health. In todays world where Lobbyists and politicans along with industry leaders (who reap the profits) can edit the important information from dangerous products (China), we all need to continue to exercise our first amendment right to free speech & stay safe!!

Please do not calibrate your survey meter on a granite surface. You should not calibrate the unit anywhere near any potential source of radiation. Doing so will lead to false low readings.

i always new granite was radioactive but whoa, not good. Maybe its a meggase to leave it in the ground !

oh, yea it doesnt do anything thats why radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer!!! let me tell you a true story, (you can look it up) of a person who worked in a nuclear plant that set off the alarms everytime that he went to work, they later found out this was due to a large granite slab under his house. now, his chances of getting cancer due to the levels of radon gas in his home were equivilent to smoking 135 packs of cigarettes a day!!! seems a little more harmful now doesnt it?

ok granite doesnt do anything it has been proved that it contains radation but the body doesnt absorb it the only granite that has been proved deadly is blue granite wich comes from spain or something besides its like Doggieman1111 says you would have have to be close to granite 24.7 for 2 years for you to get a little rash

nice vid thanks. Even "high" levels of radiation coming from granite are pretty low though. You'd have to hang around your countertop like 24/7 for years for it to have even the smallest effect.
