this isnt very helpful, the only hard bit about this repair is the cutting the marked area out nicely and cutting the patch piece to fit in perfectly, especially without cutting it from the back, besides that, 9 times out of 10 your patch piece will look a differnt colour if the area has been well worn
@greenreaper1985 You might want to listen to the audio. The steam makes the twist of the yarn (the texture and ware) and the color of the new piece match that of the old carpet traffic area,,

Thankyou so much for the video! I have 3 boys who are tough on carpet and rental houses that we only DIY with the exception of carpet. My stoner carpet guy and his hack jobs are done! At least if I mess up I can try again and not get robbed.
