The best loved and cared for cats in the world!! Japanese "Cat Lady" dumping her old rice out for the cats! Bet there are NO rats or mice in that community!! At least they are caring for them and not EATING THEM, like they do in CHINA, PHILIPPINES, VIETNAM, KOREA, and other places on the globe!! Congrats to the people of this community. I know that there are cat lovers in all those places, however, there are millions of humans, so maybe they should eat each other? As for the ecological argument: Feral cats have a huge negative impact on the environment. Feeding populations of cats enables them to overpopulate, destroy and push out native species (what do you think they eat?), and spread diseases to other animals. If you're letting cats run around and breed, you have no right to be moralizing, especially to other cultures.
