  • Arrrgghhh, the perfect place to get rid of the Scottish Baldrick, Neil Oliver, but they sent the girl! What a missed opportunity, sniff!

  • nobodys going to stand in this "quick sand" that long to sink and get stuck so this is stupid

  • TELL ME SOMETHING .. WHY IS IT WEARING A CRASH HELMUT ?? LMFAO .. !

  • @LOW1711 Health and safety lol

  • looks like a short person now

  • minecraft soul sand she is in the nether

  • That is a kind of Quicksand that you can barely get out alone.

On the other hand, you usually don't get stuck that fast, so if you don't want to get in, you usually won't.

However, there are other kinds of quicksand. Those are like one step in and you are knee-deep trapped.

Those kinds are dangerous, because you get trapped immediately.

It is easier to get out of those, but... You gotta know how.

  • @Yndostrui

I was walking in a salt marsh one time down in Texas and the mud looked dry, but it was all cracked for being heated for so long. All of the sudden I stepped on one of the mud cracks and my foot fell through, underneath was pure clay mud and I sank up to almost my knees in mud. It was pretty freaking scary but I was able to pull myself out. Scary shit being stuck in sand or mud.

  • you should of called bear gryllesz

  • Thats a fucked up looking kitchen...

  • full program has just reshown on bbc 2 so its on iplayer want to watch it all

  • Bear Gryllz eats quicksand

  • seriously? all this to get someone out of quicksand.... you can do it yourself.. its not hard...

  • @DoctorOblivian u ever been in quicksand? its not easy to get out, the sand and mud is way more dense and heavier than youre body, its about 5 times heavier

  • She's brave.

  • That's very freaky.

  • In Michigan you jump in it and you stuck almost 3 feet under this is nothing.

  • @KillCapjohns I live in Michigan. Where r u talking about?

  • @adenabutterfly frankfort

  • just like she said.the more you struggle, the further you sink.

  • This type is way TOO LAME and TOO EXPENSIVE -_-

You can save yourself if you now how.

First and most important: don't panic!

You just have lie on your stomach and then you begin slowly crawling .

    And then you're out.

  • HAHAHAHAHA! sucks FOR YOU!

  • thats not the only way to get out of it you fall to the ground and monkey crawl out...

  • The beach sand depicted in this video is not quicksand. For there to be quicksand, there has to be some source of ground water that feeds from below and brings to an inescapable viscosity the mushy sandy medium into which you begin to submerge as you try to get out, and that sort of environment is rather found in inland or littoral marshlands, not at an ordinary oceanfront beach.

  • @kizartable this is salt marsh. fed by two fresh water courses into the sea..

  • this makes me lol

  • Quick sand, more like slow sand

  • @1twilight9 its not really slow, depending on the quicksand, it goes alot quicker than you think

  • @schangbang69 Yeah ,And I think the more you struggle the faster you sink..

  • they should've just left here there for 20 min to film her reaction from a distance

  • Great training video, I've got some footage of similar quicksand at waters edge in Southern Utah just outside Zion National Park ... see my youtube channel redrocktrail

  • she wasn't even down to her knees !

  • To be honest, that does sound quite scary :<

  • Having been involved in rescues in morecambe bay, if you do get in enough to get stuck you are not coming out again. but it you do find yourself getting stuck best thing to do is spread your weight and roll out

  • really? a team to get her out from her calves? That is such a failure. She had to try so hard just to get to her calves. And then, it's not like it's hard to get out of quicksand.

  • @blazera

If you have actually been in quicksand and can tell me that it's a piece of cake, how thick it was, and how PRECISELY you got out so easily, then I'll believe you. Depending on the thickness of the mixture, QUICKSAND IS NOT EASY TO GET OUT OF. Why does everybody seem to think it is??? In this example it seems a bit weird because the girl purposefully got herself into the quicksand, but in real life, it CAN happen, and it HAS...

  • @Locke217

Indeed, I commented because I've been in quicksand many times and hate this kind of misinformation. Been up to my waste. It behaves much like a cornstarch/water solution, jerking movements will hold you fast, but if you wiggle slowly you might as well be in water. Unless it's a low sand to water ratio, in which case you'd have to try just as hard to get into it as you would to get out of it.

  • @blazera

That's ok then. 8P I've also been in quicksand and it wasn't so easy to get out for me. xD I've always thought that it depended on the mixture.

  • Poor people are jailed because they cant afford the BBC TV LICENSE TAX

  • As long as you keep walking, then I guess you'll be fine :/

  • Funnyer if they just left her there

  • getting out of quicksand is so simple, instead of having a team of people coming to rescue you why not teach people how to get out instead?

  • @LLUZION how do you get out of it?

  • @franksy08 google it

  • @LLUZION

What??? It's not always "simple" to get out of quicksand. Where did you get that? Wikipedia??? The traditional "get on your back" method doesn't always work. Unless you have a stick, it can be extremely difficult to escape after you are a certain way in. How people actually get into quicksand is another matter, in this video it seems like she's just TRYING to get into the quicksand, but you can easily get stuck in 2 inches deep mud. When you're 3 INCHES in, you're already stuck.

  • Attention youtubers, there is no such thing as quicksand lol.

...well there is, but you'd have to want to get stuck to get stuck.

Even if you somehow got stuck...do you not think the rising tide would actually be a scary thing, or actually aid you out with the extra moisture it brings to the sand...hmmmm

    lol i ranted a bit

  • How is this training if there us no escape without outside assistance?

  • that would be scary

  • So many TWSS moments.

  • @ALAPINO ?
