@ivanbv2 You may call it something different, but it is "analysis" (the translation of bunkai) in our school - a step-by-step evaluation of how the kata is being used against each attacker, since kata are meant for multiple attackers.
That how we are suppose to do all our attacks, kata or hojoundo, and done while imagining how the opponent is attacking you, how the body is positioned and where exactly you are striking on their body. Anything else is exercise, not a martial art.
All I see at 0:58 is a ready stance in neko-ashi-dachi. All of the moves are simply full detail of each move from Cho Un No Kon, so you can look at that video for the same kata without the step-by-step analysis.
I train in martial art taekwondo stile and we do the same kata but with more fire i will be posting my video of me doing cho un no kom, shushi no kom, saku Gawa no kom ,tsuken no Kom.next weeek and let me know if is any good Hempev
Being more kohai than sempai, I would not be a good judge of anyone's style in *any* other martial art (even if I can see mistake that I myself need to avoid). Our school is the closest to authenticity in Okinawan and Fujiian origins, which means Japanese or Korean influences are pretty much weeded out, leaving a more direct connection to a time when knowledge of a style stood between life and death in ji-sen.
This is a pretty basic video! He does have another series out from Century Fitness, but this level of instruction is more than I'll need for many years.
this is just a basic kumiwaza, not a bunkai.

My opinion that his bunkai is too basic. Some explanations are very good, but some aren't. I like explanation for throwing sand...
