Thanks for posting. Van Johnson dances to this song in the movie "Battleground." That was the first time I heard the song and I always wondered who sang it.
Thanks for posting all this Ella Mae Morse material . . . she's hard to come by, but EASY to listen to. I'd never heard of her until I saw the movie "Reveille With Beverly" -- which is on TCM again next month . . . a must-see for everyone who likes this kind of music.
When I moved to NY in the 80s they would play her on the Milkman's Matinee. I really thought her fantastic...I am so glad that someone posted it on YouTube so other people can hear just how great she is.
I just heard this song on XM Satellite radio (the 40's on 4), and I loved it. So I had to see if there were any videos with it on YouTube and was happy to find yours - thanks!
服部良一と笠置シヅ子は絶対にElla Mae Morseのこの曲を聴いていたと思う。乾燥前のサビの歌い方・は「買物ブギ」の笠置の節回しととても似て聞こえるから。

You have constructed a great tribute to the memory of the "Swingingist" gal of the 40's.
Many thanks for the memories.
