  • Muscovy ducks are the most friendliest ducks, they are so brave, and they almost give you attention like a dog serious, once I was having bad day and not kidding you 2 muscovys came up by me waging there tail, like talking to me hissing, i feed them and now they always stay arounnd by me, I hope everyone treats these ducks nice cause they really like people

  • ummm two of those are definitely mallards

  • @ jacksonlanders -- if you are taking about hybrids, then you must be talking about mules. Muscovies is a different specie than the tradtional mallard-derived ducks. I've seen muscovy hybrids offsprings, but they can't reproduce.

  • Reminds me how we used to keep our home-"grown" ducklings in our bed, with newspapers spread over the bed-sheet, for the first 3-4 days of their lives.

  • Where's the update video? :)

  • @reuben33143, You are incorrect. The muscovy duck was accidentally introduced to Florida by humans around 1967. They take nesting sites from native ducks and are gradually interbreeding with them, creating hybrids that will threaten the existence of the native species in the long run.

  • Why don't you eat them? I'm having one for dinner tonight. Hmm, lean muscovy.

  • @slave2school Agree with you wholeheartedly. Ducks/chickens serve as foods for other animals in nature. Their life has no meaning except being foods for others, etc.

  • i remember when i used t have muscovies :D

._. my grandparents ate my face one cause it was fighting with the others D:

  • How cute, they're making a mess with their food x'D

  • Very good!

  • There are wild species of the Muscovy duck in areas of Texas but all the Florida populations are feral animals that came from the domestic variety.

  • I was under the impression that Muscovy's where Florida natives. In fact in south Florida its the only duck we have...besides those that are pets ie a few mallards and a couple that can only be found in the everglades.

  • If Muscovies breed with any other kind of ducks, the offspring are ALWAYS sterile mules, so it is not true that they affect the genetic diversity at all.

  • Muscovies rock! they are very intelligent and cute!

  • hahah lol the yellow one iz hungry baster lol hahaha

  • You are not supposed to feed them bread because the babies cannot digest it. The ducklings have to have anything they eat watered down to mush.

  • What are you feeding them? I rescued 2 out of 14 that were being killed by the male ducks on our lake. They are in my laundryroom in a tote with a light and water dish. We feed ours cracked corn from tractor supply its called Dumore 20% protein. The yellow one is neat looking. We have the brown and yellow ones.

  • Thank you for doing it.

  • goood deed....thank you

  • my duckling,no my two ducklings died for god knows why i miss the

  • I 've raised several ducks. I love muscovies, they're such a nice breed. Try feeding them meat builder. You can buy it at any feed store. Stay away from chicken starter though. It makes muscovies, geese and other larger water fowl lame in the legs.

  • Wow you're such a good person. Thanks for helping them!

  • damn i wish that fuckin car blow up

  • why cant you feed em bread? i had a food holder too... but butler got bigger and he broke it. lol

  • ahaha i put my muscovy duck butler on newspapers too. theyre so cute. i remember when my ducky was that little!

  • hella cute!

  • Don't feed them bread that's for sure...feed them chopped salads or any veggies will do. In that video, I gave them chopped romaine lettuce with some shake N bake. Make sure you have water obviously. What I did was rigged an "L" shape food holder taped with duct tape several inches above where they stood, so that they won't eat along with their feces. I recomend that you have the duck swim in the sink. Good luck and may God bless you for doing what everyone should be doing...

  • Did you release them and did they do okay?

  • Yes, I released them to an enclosed nature preserved area with a pond and natural surroundings. I had them for 4-5 months in my condo in a 3FT by 3FT box rigged with plastic walls and floor so that it will be easy to clean. When they got big, they started to fly and that was when I knew it was time...I had to release them into the wild. It was a happy ending. I will post videos of them frolicking in the wild. Thanks for your concerns.

  • I am so glad, I tried to save a Grebe that wondered to my yard, but wildlife was so long calling me back it died. I have several wonders in my backyard pond. I have 2 moorhens now with a injured foot. One is Adult and one is baby. I suspect the alligator or a turtle grabbed their feet. The baby is still coming to my feeding spot in my yard for cracked corn, but the adult has not been seen for days. WIldlife is suppose to be here to set trap anyday. The gator is causing fear in the pond.

  • @nambutype14 -- I rescued domestic ducks dumped in parks, in the wild, etc. Most of these ducks don't last more than 2 weeks due to starvation, predation, etc. Domestic ducks that have been feed and sheltered 24/7 don't have necessary skills to survive. I know you mean well, but releasing those ducks without the right skills is a death sentence. Domestic ducks are too tame and easy pickings for predators. And, when I rescued wild orphans ducklings, I know many of them can never be released.

  • Very nice of you! Bravo!

  • damn that fucking car.i wish the mama duck didn't die.so sad.cute ducklings!

  • They're such cute little darlings!

My goodness, just look at them eat! Damn, they're hungry!

  • They are so cute! You did a good thing saving them.

  • You did a wonderful deed! I have a wood duck, a muscovy I saved as a hatching egg from a seagull and just 2 weeks ago rescued another muscovy (I think) from being stuck in a fence. They are gorgeous and very affectionate. You should offer them duck starter though. Lettuce has no nutritional value. You can also offer peas and anything else you eat. My muscovies eat just about anything, but their main diet is specially formulated duck pellets.

  • God you are a fucking idiot. No one said anything about native species vs. exotics, for starters. I was referring to hunting as a sport being attacked by those organizations. Top that to the fact that you are contradicting yourself by saying that we're limiting diversity by introducing exotics, then go on to say it's a great idea to put down several different species of animals. And WTF makes it a good idea to put down animals because they're breeding? You're messed up.

  • "SPCA, Humane society, and the Florida Bird Sanctuary would put these HEALTHY duckling to sleep becasue they DON'T belong to Florida...What a Hypocrite!!!!" Amen, sir. It's funny how animal activists can be the enemies of animals. It's ok for them to put babies to sleep, but it's not ok for people to hunt elder overpopulated animals species...hypocritical indeed! Muscovy ducks rock.

  • mmmmmmm cook em up once they get fat

  • Muscovy meat is 98% fat free and is prized by gourmets. It is a red meat that resembles veal or venison more than poultry.

  • What's that you're feeding them? Collard/turnip greens?

  • Chopped icebreg lettuce...

  • hope u didnt eat em cus if u did that is wrong!

  • we have two mallard ducklings..two yellow ones..and one black one...cant wait to see what they look like when they are full grown.right now they are almost a week old.they grow fast..got them two days ago and already seen a difference.yeah they eat and sleep and run around and when they eat and drink its hilarious..soon they will be free to roam our land.

  • the 2 browny ones are natural mallard ducklings which are what you mostly find in the wild while the yellow one is a white mallard duckling which turns white and grows quite big as it gets older. They are rarer to be found in the wild but are the most common type to be found on farms and as pets.

DUCKS ARE THE BEST ANIMALS IN THE FRIGGIN UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So cute! That all white one is pretty rare. Good luck with them.

  • Well the truth is they are non natives and cause all kinds of problems because they interbreed with mallards. But besides that they are not a problem like starlings and house sparrows for the the ecology. The ducklings are beautiful, have them here all over my lake.

  • Muscovies are the only domesticated breed of ducks that is not derived from the Mallard. It is possible for them to mate with Mallards and other breeds but the offspring are always sterile, so these 'mules' do not cause any problems.

  • There's always that 10% who want to take something beautiful and p--s all over it.

  • moscovy natuarly no how to swim forage and look for grubs they need no training what so ever ive had 7 sets of ducks i know

  • Honestly it is not smart to return them to the wild. The best thing to do would be to start a duck farm and butcher the extra for food. If you return them to the wild they will likely die because they will not know how to forage and they will not know how to hide from predators.

  • i wish i could find some to rescue

  • There is a reason why...Muscocy ducks are a domestic breed. You would do Floridas natural ecology a blessing by giving the birds to a person who would let them live on a farm or sanctuary to live out their lives in peace. Kudos for rescuing the Ducklings. They are cute but not as cute as my Cayugas and Campbells (what can I say, mine are family lol).

  • Soo cute^^

  • i'd love to stamp on you and roast you over an open fire...yummy yummy yum

  • God bless you by saving these. I have 7 the only problem is that they are very friends of mine and follow me around

  • I love this video. Again, God Bless You for saving these muscovy ducklings. Honestly, Muscovy Ducks won't harm Florida at all. I LOVE, love, love love love love muscovy ducks, they're beautiful.

  • I actually own a farm full of muscovies, purely as pets. My farm is like a haven for them to be fed every day and socialize as they please. God Bless you for saving these adorable muscovy ducklings. Animal shelters are wrong to want to kill them just because their mother is gone; I've raised counltess ducklings like this and they all grow up to be perfectly stable , healthy and happy!!

  • Mine are so happy with me that sometimes when I go, they start crying

  • The animal shelter here killed a dogs litter of beagles... poor pups.

  • aww what were they eating, I give my ducks chick starter from tractor supply

  • There are Muscovy ducks all over Florida (in the wild). I'm surprised that those organizations don't keep the ducks. If they are concerned that the ducks are non-native, they can keep them in captivity as they do to PLENTY of other farm animals (goats, geese, horses, etc.). The SPCA says it doesn't adopt out farm animals, but it will take them in. I don't get why they wouldn't do the same for the ducks.

  • hungry bastards. But cute.

  • wow! was that snow outside?! they certainly couldn't survive, regardless. THANKYOU for allowing them life - all of it is precious, as are these little ones.

  • Muscovy are domestic ducks and shouldnt be released into the wild or they will just suffer an even crueler death. They have a very high protein requirement since they are more carniverous than other ducks. You need to supplement their diet with some ground up cat chow.

  • I'm curious...what is it you're feeding them?

  • I was feeding them chopped lettuce but afterwards I have been feeding them CAT food (solid) for crude protein. I still have them and they need a good home.

  • The yellow one is absolutely adorable!!!!

  • mpe mpeeeeeee ^_^ cuties

  • how cute, greedy lil things lol

  • They are so adorable! Thank you for saving the cute ducklings T_T from those mean people who would put them to sleep!
