I just bought Swaptronics Rangemaster and Silicon Fuzz and they are AWESOME!!!!!! This guy is SANTA CLAUS!!!!! I own almost 30 pedals and i love these ones. I got them for 49,00$US each!!!!!!!!! I got them in ABS enclosure which I think now that I got the pedals are better than metal ones, because they are SOLID and LIGHTTTTTT!!! I can tell that when I carry my guitar + Analogman Germ Fuzz + RMC wah my back BLEEEEEEDS!

Sounds great are you useing BC108A ?

Yes. These are standard BC108 that I get from an Australian supplier from Thailand. The BC177's also work well, but they are PNP and need positive ground hookup instead of negative ground. I've tried BC107 and they rock. The BC108C and BC109C don't sound as good--gain is too high (nearly 400 or 500 hfe).

I use BC108 (plain label) and BC108B units. The magic gain range is 200 to 260 for the 100 or so pedals that I've made. That is the sweet spot for these transistors. Proper gain matching and 4.5V DC bias on the Q2 collector is the key to great tone and picking dynamics. -Dave
