Haha Randy made a joke at 3:37 you can't hear ... but Randy said no ear biting, and the guy said Mike Tyson might have a problem, and randy says, He'd probably choke on mine...
That is funny shit!! Never knew randy had a sense of humor
Cavuto is not a good interviewer. Interrupts Randy's talk alot of times. And was definitely ignorant in the nature of MMA. No rules??? As Couture said, there are 20+ rules.
I love you randy! All you randy fans must think im soo lucky, randy is my uncle. I actually went down and saw him last june. He took me my mom an my grandma to his favorite place to eat lunch, its in Vegas by his gym, its called the randy Couture gym, the place was called the cracked egg. Then we went in this really big cage fighting thing and he showed me some of his moves. Send me a message if you want to see some pictures of me and randy that is if you don't beleave me :)
this is the kind of figures mma needs to show the world that its not a barbaric exhibition but rather a gathering of very talented professionals.randy is always a class act,mma doesnt need figures like kimbo slice ,shows the sport as thuggish and barbaric
Wow this interviewer is a prick. He is not respectful, he asks a question and when Randy tries to explain he is cut off by this douche bag who cant shut his mouth. I am impressed that Randy did not rip his head off as most other people would have.
anybody else think neil cavuto is an uneducated slob in this video. its nice to know couture is a class act and can silence the man with his words of wisdom
that guy jesse that won a spot in the finals of the ultimate fighter but was kicked off because of his behavior, should really watch this so that he could see how a ufc fighter should conduct himself in public
Randy is a great embassador for the sport, he can do any "aggressive" interviews out there, intelligent, a good sense of humor, and coherant, would have hated to see some hothead take that interview and totally give a bad impression, thanks Randy
Randy has class. Its too bad Dana white and the Fertittas aren't giving the fighters that have done hug ethings for this sport a biger piece of the pie. If the money is there, they definately deserve it.
Part of the success in MMA, particularly the UFC, is the intelligence of most of the fighters. They, by and large, can actually hold an intelligent conversation. Compare and contrast Randy with just about any boxer. Pugilistic dementia, anyone?
End of boxing?? HAHA Dude must have been smokin crack when he said that. Boxing just had thier biggest year in quite some time. One month of boxing out did the whole year off MMA.
Here's another fine example of the positive publicity work Couture did for the UFC. They shafted him the same way they shafted Shamrock. It's the true reason Ken was so angry during the reality show, and his fights against Tito.
Since when has American news ever been accurate? Hell, they can't even speak the English language without changing spellins and pronounciations to simplify things. It's honestly no suprise that they think the UFC is MMA. They've been fed hog shi.t from the media since they day they were born, this is another fine example.
just so u know UFC is a franchize in the MMA world, just like WEC, and PRIDE. They simply have different rules than one another. They try to make it like you were fighting in the real world. Practicing martial arts is completely different than when you acttualy have to us it in real life. O and so u know boxing is a martial art.
pride rules were different before zuffa bought the organization. pride allowed stomps, soccer kicks to the face, knees while on the ground, but no elbows. i think their goal was to make it as entertaining as possible whereas UFC was more concerned for the fighter's safety. i guess it has the same rules as UFC now... too bad... pride was way better
Does PRIDE even exist on it's own any more? I'd figured they just owned it for the rights, considering there hasn't been a single show in months and the UFC's just been siphoning off select talent from their roster. PRIDE was able to allow stomps and soccer kicks and etc. because the athletic commisions in Japan aren't as stringent as those in America. When PRIDE did shows on American soil, they had to ban those moves. They never allowed elbows even after UFC bought them out.
Who said he's not fighting N E more? He's just not gonna fight in the UFC N E more. He's gonna try 2 fight Fedor & do the promoting himself.
Just U W8 & C!!! Did U hear what Randy said in this vid about Mike Tyson? That Ole' Tyson would choke on his ear if he were 2 bite it off!! That's f***ing great!!
I don't see why so many people feel the need to take sides with either boxing or UFC. Both are legit sports (unlike the WWE crap) and both require dedication, discipline, and skill. Boxing will always be my favorite out of tradition, but I've come to respect the UFC and many of their fighters too. Couture is amazing; especially at his age.
Couture is definitely a class act. I didn't used to like him but have gained a world of respect for him. Great fighter, better person and "Hats off to THE NATURAL"
What a well-spoken man Randy Couture is. Couture reminds me of the martial arts instructors and dojo owners I have known. Polite, intelligent, and disciplined people. He hit it right on the head, the discipline must be astounding to be at that high level at any age -- most knuckleheads don't have that kind of discipline and willingness to succeed at that high level. Their are tough guys who can beat up a lot of guys, and then there are world-class fighters.
neil seems to be making an attempt to shed a positive light on the sport, but it seemed to me as if he was more interested in asking questions than letting randy answer. i would have liked to hear more of randy and less of neil, because randy always seems to find the right way to word things. by far the most intelligent and respectable fighter in the sport.
If Dana White has half a brain he will hire this man as spokesman. Rarely has an athlete made a more pleasantly surprising impression. This bloke exudes class and intelligence like few others I've seen. Much respect, Mr. Couture.
Yes, Randy does exude poise and class. He would be a perfect spokesman for the UFC and MMA in general. If Dana had half a brain he would replace Joe Rogan and that other lame announcer with Bas Rutten and Randy Couture. Now wouldn't that be a great announcing duo?
stupid comment... bruce lee wouldnt be able to, ur an ignorant moron to state that since bruce lee has not ground game and would totally be out of the peoples league
You obviously know nothing about real fighting and seem to be confusing movies with real life. You also don't know your bruce lee. He owned every one of Muhammed Ali's fights on 8mm and he would study them for hours, especially amazed as his footwork. He was asked if he could take Muhammed Ali.
"fight a guy who's 100 pounds heavier than me and just as fast, he'd take my head off." Bruce might do pretty well in his weight class, though he would have to gain ten pounds to fight in the lowest weight division. Fedor Emelianenko would DESTROY Bruce Lee. No question. Ten times out of ten.
that reporter is kind of dumb and didnt know probably one thing about ufc. How can you have a lame ass dude who probably isnt even into sports interview randy couture and ask stupid questions like how much did you make for that fight like its anyone business and certainly not the worlds. But its all good
I'd rather have kids fighting and beating the crap out of each other than popping caps randomly. The gang-bang punks should all be stomped real good by guys like Randy.
I like how Randy shut the interviewer down when he started listing all the rules in UFC. This guy was actually going to argue with Randy on whether or not HIS SPORT has rules in it. And he kept interrupting Randy. Randy is the MMA Messiah. He should be official spokesperson of UFC because he totally kills all the stereotypes of the "Dumb Fighter". So badass.
I never thought I could have any more respect for Randy--but he outdid himself again. Perfect picture of class when Neil asked him what he maid for the fight, he politely dodged it. It's interesting that he--as a UFC fighter--lives on society's margin but Michael Vick and Pacman Jones are bonafide "superstar athletes". I'd rather my kids watch Randy than any thug in a football uniform.
they could have at least got someone with half a brain to interview him.i am 43 and cannot comprehend how he has managed to maintain that level of fitness. i have said it often that randy is the coolest man on the planet.
What a classy guy, a recently read a great qoute about Randy, "Randy is the greatest fighter in MMA, not the best fighter, the greatest" I still can't believe at age 43 he handled Sylvia like he did, what a hero!
Couture needs to be propelled more into the media limelight because he is an intelligent spokesman and sets a great image for the sport i wish people could put him on more chat shows and interviews
Randy is a damn good MMA fighter, intelligent and articulate, he is a great representatve for MMA. Even at his age (43) he is still awesome. I hope he retires before he gets hurt.
with all due respect, that is easier said than done brother. when one possesses a spirit of combativeness within themselves, they don't take the potential hazards into consideration. you would have to be in it to fully understand.
couture looks like a civilized man, respect, cause in this sport , theres many animals, who just want to kill the other fighter, never fight with respect.
wow that interviewer was a jackass...it was on fox though so no surprises there..god if i were couture i would have chocked him out for interrupting me so damn much
exactly. people think that ufc is synonemous with mma, but don't realize that ufc is a mma organization just like wec, kotc, dreams, sengokdu, etc. but maybe that is a good thing for the ufc because that would come to show that ufc generates the most interest in people to the point where other mma promotions take the back burner to ufc. peace.
