When I first saw this clip I wasn't aware that Stephen Fry was a homosexual and I thought he was mimicking a seteotypical Englishman. He was in fact mimicking a stereotypical gay Englishman.
anyone sort of reminded of the tea party in the 1951 disney version of alice in wonderland? hatter - penn, march hare - teller, and fry as the white rabbit...?
an unbirthday gift/present from his mum for attending a school he wasn't thrown out of...? it's a long shot, i know. being tea-less doesn't help
@mimimurlough I actually begged my dad to get me that horrid thing. a CASIO i think. 1995. We didn't have mobile phones then (or rather students didnt have one). It had a calculator. So we were not allowed to wear one in school. (You could cheat in Maths) Those were the days
I was too busy...er...admiring Stephen Fry (does anyone else find those little intonations in his voice mixed with his accent really sexy?); if that date is correct he's quite young here...and I totally missed a great Penn moment at 4:45.
"In that case...how 'bout...FISH!!"
Stephen's like "Where's my watch, motherfucker?"
Replay Penn shouting "FISH" over and over...it actually gets more amusing. The chemistry clearly doesn't quite work, but this is still a great trio to have on stage at once.
Okay, Stephen Fry could not possibly be more adorable. This was so long ago, god, he should be more like this now. You could tell he was petrified of whatever P&T were going to do to him and/or his watch...and unless he was playing things up for the show, I think he was still kind of angry his watch was returned covered in fish guts. If that fish wasn't a prop, that could definitely ruin his watch. And "For that piece of...shit? No! It's vulgar nonsense!" That's so perfectly Stephen!
Stephen's such a gentleman for not kicking up more of a fuss when they destroy his watch in front of him like that. Look at him at 3:55! Glad he got it back in the end.
Stephen Fry keeps on swishing his hair like Justin Bieber! :)

But now the watch his mother gave him is covered in fish guts! I'd be quite upset about that.

Off topic, that digital watch made me so nostalgic. Imagine that there actually was a time when were considered respectable watches!
