Leg's Diamond and San Antonio in late 70's and 80's went hand-in-hand .... they were one of the very BEST ROCK Bands .... Sunken Gardens / Daddy's / La Semana Alegre / whenever they played you were guaranteed a great show / great music & great time
Got to see these guys the last time they played La Semana. Those were the days!!! I would go there and then you would play Sneakers the next nite. Didn't miss any of the shows. Comment made about downtown San Antonio, no it isn't the same. The last nite it was around, there was a fight right in front of the stage and Rick got so pissed he walked off the stage. He was recovering from his motorcycle accident and it was painful for him to be on stage. Miss the good old days!
Roger Romeo is my uncle but i've only met him less than ten times since he lives in L.A.. I am 26 and a huge music lover and its crazy to see videos like this up and people talking about it. pretty sweet actually. lol

Album cover would make an awesome graphic on the trunk of my old
Camaro, if I could ever find some one that would do this cover justice. I think i might draw it myself and find a good airbrush artist to color it in, would be awesome. LOVE THIS BAND FROM THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THEM IN THE 70'S! OUCH WE ARE GETTING OLD!
With the internet and all these days its easier for the bands of this generation to get exposure and become semi successful or really successful even if it sucks. The bands of yesteryear like Legs Diamond had to work their ass off just to get some burn.
It is a great song but what comes to my mind when someone says Legs Diamond to me is "Stage Fright" because a friend of mine turned me on to this first LD tune when I was 16. Great rock. I think our era had the best riffs and rock songs. They just don't play them like this anymore man.
@fotoflik to be honest "stage fright" was the first song i jammed to by LD when i saw them live back in the day and after "stage fright" they played "woman" so like you I have to agree on that
Ahh.. San Antonio...Sunken Gardens, Minicipal Auditorium, Joe Freeman Coliseum, Randy`s Rodeo, Battle of the Bands, 99.5 KISS Joe Anthony.... Moxy, Legs Dimond, Budgie, Heyoka, all bring back memories of a time when all was goooood. I`m in my 50`s now and still get a tear in my eye when I here these Bands;)
I remember ... way back then... when Joe Anthony Rocked the SA area.... he would play this and Crystal Butterfly for me at 2am when I would finally get to leave the bar. He was an amazing person...

Man, this brings back memories. The only things I'd add is Triumph to your list and Huey Lewis and The News at Randy's Rodeo.

Great song, but can someone explain this sentence "There is no reason why I'm tired of believin or sick and grievin cause I got you."
landowolve 2 years ago
In other words: I'm glad I have you. I'm not sick, and I'm not grievin, and I'm not tired of believin anymore (I believe).
Later we find out in the song that this woman drives him crazy (: but, he still loves her despite that.

I live in Washington State now after a lot of years in San Antonio. No one from here has ever heard of Legs Diamond (much less Joe Anthony, KXZL FM104, La Semana, or Oysterbake....)
Well, they have now. :)
