He said 'qasi-Gothic' Gothic doesn't necessarily refer to Goths as a stereotype but a dark setting in general. I believe that is what VanillaAndBasil was talking about.

Regardless, I don't see why "Goth People" can't like something other than metal, or whatever it is you're assuming.
