I went on that ride in March and it got backed up near the end and had to wait for them to unload /load boats ahead of us.

Yea, we were stuck on this Stupid ride for atleast 10 min at the end. It scared the crap out of me. I begged my mom not 2 go on it in the 1st place but she insisted it was a "classic". Biggest mistake of my life following her. Worst of all my dad videotaped the whole ride so when I watch it I have 2 relive it all over again.....

You were probably just backed up. The last room always gets backed up because they can't load/unload the boats quick enough. There's no real way to be stuck in the ride, because the boat floats along in the water between two rails; it's not on a track.

my cousins told me that when they went to disney world last year, they were on splash mountain. right when they were going to go down the drop, they were at the top where you could look down and see people waving at you like idiots, it stopped. my cousin was freaking out.. it was so funny :)

...The boats paced at an unusually slow speed, and we were in the show building for at least half an hour.

I have not been on It's a Small World since, and am attending therapy regularly. It is only recently that I have been able to say the words "It's a Small World."

...A couple of minutes later, it started to rain cats and dogs! A couple of minutes after that, it started to hail! We wished that the boats would start up again so that we could at least get into the show building and out of the hail!

The boats finally did start back up, and much to our dismay, because it was such a warm, muggy day they had cranked up the air conditioning way up that day! So we were soaked with rain and hailstones, and freezing our butts off from the air-conditioning!

Oh my goodness, I am So sorry!

On a nice muggy day in September of 2000, we had just gotten on It's a Small World at Disneyland. We got about 20 feet from the entrance to the show building, when all boats came to a stop. It was too late to get out of our boat - we had to stay and proceed.
