  • Everyone knows that all the cool people are going to Hell, see you there.

  • @smithcas86: I'll keep your seat warm.

  • Why are "Christians" so terrified of death?

  • @larsjake Because atheists will just be dead. Christians have a 50% chance of being tortured forever.

  • @JeanneMcFadden I don't quite understand your comment can you please explain it to me what is it exactly you mean?

  • @silverstream314 Do you know where I can watch the whole of this video? I've seen individual clips but never the whole thing. Any help much appreciated.

  • @JSCwrd Sure! There is a link to the entire video in the description.

  • @silverstream314 Ah, silly me. Thanks very much, love the Hitch. Great upload.

  • Lo! those who distort Our revelations are not hid from Us. Is he who is hurled into the Fire better, or he who cometh secure on the Day of Resurrection? Q, 40:41

  • "All we're doing here is wasting our time with our culture and our irony and our literature. That's all trash! What we REALLY want is to be dead. And, I might add, lots of other people too." LOL!

  • Actually unicorns are mentioned in the Bible. So....

  • i think it is understanding evil is the way to fight it not agnore it and think we are all going to get along kind of would look stupid i mean we need that but then again if he is trying to say we need to get along and club are enemy in the head go back to our ways again he is surely brillant.

  • @allendoc1000

And by brilliant you mean a sad sack of shit.

  • i wonder if people who are athiest tryed and failed at understanding jesus or did they think it was fairytale like the santa from the start

  • @allendoc1000

Most people equate following Jesus with just doing whatever they wanted to do in the first place anyway.

  • @666arzin solid point. it's self assurance. unfortunately it's so backwards and corrupt version of what it originally was: a young species trying understand "what the fuck is going on?!". it couldn't, there was no way of knowing. ergo personalities were given to things that weren't persons, such as natural disasters, weather, stars, etc. only when these concepts were given PHYSICAL HUMAN qualities, and used to conquer, i think they became harmful. and now it's nothing short of parody.

  • @allendoc1000 Tried to believe it, then realised its nonsense. I just wish there were more athiests who are happy to stand up and give the religous a hard time.

  • "...the works were "authored" by the old expedient of allowing two orangutans loose on a word processor"

    - Hitchens, God is not Great, Speaking about the Left Behind series by T. Lahaye and J.B Jenkins.

  • Hitchens is magnificent. He is one intellectual humanity can't do without especially when talk revolves around religion. I wish him quick recovery.

  • @Aliof i am sorry to inform you but there is no recovery from what he is going through. Its gods curse for criticising him and his devine books for so long.

  • @smithbrain

Ok you good christian or what ever fairy-tail you believe in, it is your gods curse on Hitchens, why do you think 1000s of innocent children are dying of starvation and disease every day. Are they paying for cursing the god and the divine books they can't even know? You better wake up buddy and smell the coffee. You are a lonely particle floating in this universe and no one knows about you. Your imaginary god is the fruit of some sick mind, designed to fool gullible like you.

  • @Aliof The suffering of the chilldren is unfortunate. But their suffering may be a test for their parents. After all the good lord does work in mysterious ways. We cannot as mere mortals cannot possibly understand his ways. "You are a lonely particle floating in this universe and no one knows about you." If anything this describes you athiests. You don't believe in anything you believe that after death a human being just vanishes. While I believe in resurection and devine judgement.

  • @smithbrain

The god that punishes my child for my wrong doing better stay in fairy-tails, the "Devine" books and in the mind of wishful thinking gullible like you. And when gullible doesn't have any answer comes the all too familiar phrase "the lord works in mysteries ways". Did you say "Devine judgment"? I thought judgment is a human attribute and when you show me one who has come back from death to tell his tail then I concede. And don't tell me Jesus b/c we don't know if he existed.

  • @Aliof let me asure you jesus existed. And soon he will return to earth to lead his followers to victory and kick the rest off the planet. Judgement is also devine attribute many many times in the past god sent down his devine judgement on wicked and evil people for disbelieving in him while saving the ones who believed in him. Soon the time will come when these prophies will come true and then you will see these are not fairy-tails.

  • @smithbrain

So you selfish devil are willing to take the golden chariot to "victory" with your imaginary Jesus and "kick the rest of us off the planet". What kind of christian are you? Why would you care whether I believe or not as long as it dose not interfere with your life? This is 21th century not 15 century you cannot burn people alive for disbelieving. Why don't you have the balls to admit to yourself life begins here and ends here. Pretending won't help you, smell the coffee.

  • @Aliof I am not selfish at all. The selfish thing to do would be not to tell anyone about it. And no I don't think a men or women should be burnt at the stake for not wanting to believe in something or worshipping in a different manner. I never said those things you did.

  • @smithbrain

But you did say "...soon he will return to earth to lead his followers to victory and kick the rest off the planet". The rest being us disbelievers.

  • @smithbrain

Is there any source of information you and your gullible kind have access to, regarding god, prophets and "Devine books" that people like me cannot have access to? If there is any logical source please tell me and I don't mean Quran, Bible and that preacher who wants your money while sodomizes innocent children. Trust me you, you are a lonely particle floating in space and your extra terrestrial daddy has no knowledge you are here. I know deep inside you have your own doubts.

  • @Aliof The quran and bibel are devine books. Other then that I don't have access to any new information. Oh by the way I never had to make a compulsory payment to my place of worship it is all voluntary and as far as I know the preacher does not have a criminal history nor did he ever hurt innocent children.

  • @smithbrain

But the Quran and Bible are written by man and have no historical value. How could the silly old stories and vengeful passages be Devine? Further, why this god needs money, whether compulsory or voluntarily? I tell youl that freaking lazy preacher, reverend, bishop, cardinal wants to have dinner off the sweat of my back. In return I get to hear bunch of repetitive silly stories with no impact in 21th century. Oh and silly prayers asking for suspension of laws of physics.

  • According to god botherers its Judgement Day on the 21st of May, oh and the end of the world next year as well.

  • lol its so true

  • The surrender of reason and the contempt of evidence. How true.

    Religion poisons everything.

  • @easyas314 No.

  • the consequences of these indoctrinated zombies' belief is too much for any normal unaffected human to have to bear with

look at eid camel sacrificing in pakistan the way they tie its leg up and jook the neck with a long knife with all the children around laughing - this is how they will jook our necks if we're not careful - when their numbers grow all over the west

and they are making it illegal to dispute these mountain worshipping, sacrificial, child genital mutiliating, divisive cults

  • @timewilltell7 I didn't think they did much genital mutilation in Pakistan, or are you talking about male circumcision - ever seen a botched job on one of those? I'm unsure of who you are mad at - Pakistanis, mountain worshipping people (who are they?) or religion all together. Are all religions divisive? Or just this mountain worshipping one? And how do we stop the mountain worshipping ones? What happens if you live where there are no mountains? Will they kill us all?

  • I had to come here after watching Waiting for Armageddon to clear my head. Kind of like washing my mouth out with minty freshness after sucking on a turd lollypop.

  • @guardemdog Wonderful, just wonderful because thats exactly what I did lmao

  • @naybobdenod HAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • "To the best selling pulp fiction...The Left Behind series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins... which ostensibly, was authored by the old expedient of letting two orangutangs loose on a word processor"

    - Chris Hitchens, God is not Great

You gotta admire his sense of humor.

  • Haha, I wonder when the tards will become tired of waiting for that bullcrap to happen? : )

  • The world is thinking right! :)

  • jacksawild

The Bibles pronouncements on scientific matters, such as the age of the earth are exactly that. The Bibles pronouncements. Not the Korans. The Koran makes its own statements on such matters. You can research what these are, and draw your own conclusions.

  • See a discussion on the flood myth Jesus believed in at by googling:

"Nein Thalmann Preterism Debate IS THERE BAD EVIDENCE FOR ADAM'S SIN?"

This is CRITICAL to all Christianity that begs the question: How could a divine Christ believe in a MYTH?

  • Just as before the big flood, there was many laughing and scoffing at the belief in God. History will repeat its self once again.

  • @virtualguitarist How comes that an omnipotent (who knows everything) god takes a decision after having created earth... Couldn't he come with a better version ?

  • @Acrimonator All the answers to tuff questions like that are in the bible. If you refuse to believe the bible, you can ask God himself when you come face to face with him on your judgement day. Good luck and God bless!

  • @virtualguitarist I've read the 3 abrahamic "holy" books and none of them was convincing... BTW, this particular questions isn't answere, that if he knew the outcome why intervene or even made things different so that he doesn't have to punish his creatures. How can he be fooled by one of his creature (the snake) and if it's not the case and he knew what was happening, then he set the trap for Adam and Eve.

No matter how i look at it, it looks absurd...

  • @Acrimonator When you were reading the bible, did you not read and understand about the topic of faith and why it is essential? If God was to provide rock solid evidence for us all to believe, (appearing to us in the flesh) there would be no need for faith would there? Relying on the theory that the universe "just happened out of chance" or "evolutions natural selection" instead of understanding it as God's creation, just leaves us blind to the truth. Read ROMANS 1:20

  • @virtualguitarist no, i just thought faith was a feeble attempt at avoiding to give explanation.

Do you realize that in this time people had no clue about reality, that's why there are so many gods ? That you're actually (in 2010) living in a middle-east iron-age mythology. Nothing makes that more believable that Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

  • @Acrimonator People were clueless back then? LOL Man and science has it all figure out now right? We don't need God anymore. If you actually did read the bible, you would know that many people back then had it all figured out too. Not everyone back then was a believer, just like today. Yesterday's man seemed clueless. We will also seem clueless to man tomorrow. That is the arrogance and pride of man at work.

  • @virtualguitarist Oh please, enlighten me, if i missed some knowledge in the bible...

Because yes, at this time in this place people was complete ignorant. Funny that i was precise enough to say middle-east iron-age mythology and not Greece or Egypt where the real knowledge was. You try to shift the conversation to make me look like an ignorant of history.

I guess i'll have to wait for your bible scientific evidence. Or is that possible that the earth is a flat disc and nobody told me ?

  • @Acrimonator Well i can see now that your first reply was not a sincere curiosity, but an attempt to start a argument on the existence of God. You will never see any truth in the bible as long as your using it to try to find reasons NOT to believe. You will not find truth for the same reason a thief cannot find a policeman. Ask yourself this, "if God does not exist, why do i keep thinking or arguing about?" If i did not believe, i surely would use logic and do something else with my time. ;^)

  • @virtualguitarist I've to admit that i was not genuinly curious, but rather interested in what could constitute a valid argument to you. Pardon me for having been a little arrogant here.

Now, I don't try not to believe, I just can't believe. Like asking you to believe in santa wouldn't make more sense to you.

I've no problem with the Spinoza deist approach, that's the all watching, all judging god that I can't wrap my mind around. Why judge creatures you willingly created flawed ?

  • @Acrimonator CONT.

And how can it be just to condemn them for ETERNAL torture for just misunderstanding a situation. How can you reconcile infinite love and eternal torture. Have you only imagined what it represents, that the humans actually in hell till sodom and gomorra only start having a clue about what awaits them. Can you picture that without being disgusted by such a primitive concept of good and evil ?

  • @Acrimonator Well i tell you that i totally understand your questions because i wondered about the same exact things. I do appreciated your honesty about looking for a arguement, or a debate to put it nicely. Just because i am a Christian does not mean i understand everything about God, just as a Scientist does not understand everything about Science. All i do know is since i became a Christian, i have been able to understand many things i could not before. Peace my friend!

  • @virtualguitarist If it helps you lead a good life and till you don't harm people in god's name I see no reason to object...

    Peace.

  • @virtualguitarist Just because you're able to understand something, it doesn't make it right. That is where you' as a christian, have your problem. You assume the teachings which have been bestowed upon you to be true, which they quite obviously are not.

This is also why many many religious people do not accept Evolution as a scientific fact.

  • @x2thay Evolution is for people that can't admit to guilt and turn there back on God. Evolution is a fairy tale. There has never been anyone that is a eye witness to evolution. There are hundreds that are eye witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus. Good luck with your folly. We reap what we sow.

  • @virtualguitarist Uau, half way through you comment I thought you were trolling but I think you actually are being sincere there.

Eye witness to Evolution? EYE witness? Are you serious? Really? Com'on!... Just go read the VERY basic definition of Evolution before you make a complete fool out of yourself again. I mean, Eye witness to Evolution? Did I read it right??

You say stuff like that and then wonder why Atheists and EDUCATED people look down on you, sad little people...

  • @x2thay I see my comment has really gotten under your skin. Its interesting how frustrated you spiritually handicapped people get when you fail to understand the simplest of things. Then you call yourself EDUCATED, and create a world of your own by putting your self on a pedestal, thinking you can look down on someone. Sorry if my comment was hard for you to swallow. Here as a glass of Holy water to wash it down with > \_/

  • @virtualguitarist Believe me you! Your previous comment WAS hard to swallow. Because you utterly failed to comprehend what any 14 year old can explain to you! Clearly you do not know THE FIRST THING about Evolution, and yet, you dismiss it. I'm sorry, little buddy, but how can I not pitty you? I'm not saying it out of anger, but as a simple fact: I pitty you!

Oh little buddy, books! That's what you need: books.

This is why Atheists look down on you, little people.

  • @virtualguitarist Oh, and by the way, little buddy, I AM educated :) along with the OVERWHELMING majority of the scientific community which evidently regard Evolution as a proven scientific FACT.

Now, I forget: aren't these supposed to be the SMARTEST people on the planet? Oh yes, thet are. But never mind that. You and your dusty obnoxious old book clearly know WAY more about the world lol.

    You gennuinly amuse me. :P

  • @x2thay If you were educated, it would clearly show. What does show is that most of your material you use here you have gotten from someone else. You can "face palm" all you want, you are just copying the blunders of others. Atheist look down on wisdom because their pride in worldly knowledge has decieved them. Keep wallowing in your self made world and its ideas. The very essence of deception is not knowing when you have been decieved.

  • @virtualguitarist Your quote "Atheists look down on wisdom because their pride in worldly knowledge has deceived them", should have read "Theists look down on wisdom because their pride in supernatural knowledge has deceived them". Let me use another quote I heard from someone else...."All religions are man made and false". They blinded me...... with SCIENCE !

  • @sparky7718 Your science is temporary. You will find out that science cannot be used as a "get out of jail free" card.

  • @virtualguitarist, would you care to elaborate a bit? Blanket statements and statements about the future from opinion really doesn't mean much. Please explain how science is temporary, thanks! :)

  • @virtualguitarist Can't summon a plausible argument for your childish beliefs without threatening the specter of imagined punishment in hell? What a loser.

  • @moopism Well well, what have we here? Did i strike a nerve? Hows that conviction working for ya? Looks kinda painful from here!

  • @virtualguitarist No nerve, just disgust that a grown man has the same argument for his imaginary friend that a 4 year old has for theirs.

My convictions work just fine, thank you for asking....

  • @virtualguitarist Yes, belief in unicorns, magic boats, and talking snakes is much more important than understanding how the world really works.

    Faith, without evidence, is superstition.

  • @virtualguitarist I mean, really? Eye witness? Of Evolution?? I still can't believe you actually mean that...

    Eye witness??

    *facepalm*

  • @x2thay Theres a butterfly in Hawaii that has developed a mouth that can eat from the Banana flower & thats all they eat. Bananas were only recently introduced to Hawaii, if they hadnt evolved, that species they would have had nothing to eat. Thats just one example of observation. Evolution is a fact theres either science or ignorance. All geology, biology, DNA mapping, the fossil records, & carbon dating support evolution. There isnt a single science that is in conflict with evolution, not one.

  • @LouisPlume In fact, I hear even the Vatican now regards Evolution as a scientific fact.

not really much to argue here: those who say Evolution is yet to be proven right, either are being deliberately dishonest or are simply ignorant of what Evolution really is.

  • @x2thay The problem with Catholic dogma is, the followers are told to believe it by a represntative from god (The Pope), and not because its a scientific fact, but then you know all that.

  • @LouisPlume I thought everyone knew by now that the Catholic Church is corrupt and shouldn't even be considered a branch of Christianity.

  • is he still alive?

  • Ironic how many people talk about hitchens as if he is the messiah! i just see some self important guy who takes himself far too seriously.

  • @MoeRocco75 You're right, he's not as humble as a Haggard or even a Hovind, don't you think ?

  • I'm far from gay but I can honestly say that Christopher has one of the most beautyful minds I have ever witnessed.

  • mrbeenontherazzle

matty made a statement and i asked him to elaborate . so how is the onus on me? HE made a statement so HE needs to explain. i only asked a question, and made no claim on the subject so clearly there is no onus on me. how could there be? now ive done your thinking for you i hope you can start again with a new and relevant posting.

  • His words, books and debates will stand the test of time. His mind is years ahead of the world, maybe because he's a clear thinker not polluded by religions.

  • The rapture is rubbish. Hitchens has always made his point clear.

  • @matty

can you tell me how science has disproved islam? very interested to know!

  • @MoeRocco75 tell me how islam has been scientifically proved. you have the burden of proof.

  • @MoeRocco75 Science has proved all the Abrahamic faiths wrong. The revealed cosmology is where the evidence lies. The earth isn't flat, there is no firmament, the sun, moon and stars are not what the books of the bible claimed them to be. Mankind evolved from simpler forms, there was no global flood, the histories are incorrect and many other examples.

  • Please get well, Hitch. We need you.

  • What a great question to ask a Christian or Muslim. Is there anything on the earth greater than heaven? (with the obvious response"No") Then what you really want is to be dead? Well what are you waiting for!

  • It is my goal before I die to meet and shake Christopher Hitchens hand.

  • Old Man FTW!

  • Here is a question for all you christian assholes from someone who doesnt give a damn about religion whatsoever, "what gives you the right to interfere in someone else's life and attempt to force them into christianity or better yet murder them because their lifestyle goes against the teachings of your so called "GOD."

  • @Raxer21 Thank you

  • I biggest regret is noot hearing someone like him or Dawkins,Harris, when i was younger....

  • People say you cant prove God exists, but thats only as far as we are unaware what it takes to create a universe. People cant agree whether this brilliant universe needed a creator or not, so we are not even qualified to decide what proof of God actually is. Athiests could be looking at the universe and refusing to see proof, in the manner of a mother whose son can do no wrong in her eyes, being shown video evidence of him killing someone and still refusing to accept what she was seeing.

  • @MoeRocco75

The question of whether there exists a god is not that important. This is because we have to firstly explain what we mean when we say 'god'. So, if what you mean by 'god' is, for example, the god of the Quran, then you have to prove that that god exists. Not any god, but that god. You can't of course because science has already shown that Islam is wrong, but you get my point.

  • Christianity is a DANGEROUS cult of fear, death and self-loathing, actively seeking to bring about the END of the World through SELF-FULLING Doomsday war-mongering.

  • @xephyr1000 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

  • @virtualguitarist

"Reason obeys itself; Ignorance submits to what is dictated to it." -Thomas Paine

  • google Doe's Account.

  • Woe be 2 the mockers hitchens is hitchen a ride to his own demise

  • religion is a curse... but hitchens blocks out facts when hes faced with political questions (iraq war was ok because religion is extreme and we should stop it... his opinion) but wars increase poverty which increases religions power... but i dont read his books for his politics :)

  • 01:03

Ricard Dawkins brother takes a peak.

"Hmm, whats evolving around here..." :)

  • Hitchens is far too underrated.

  • Hitchens for Prime minister

  • I see no difference between a Quaker and a member of the Taliban. It was the Quakers who started the trend in early America of burning people at the stake. Religion is not a beacon for morality, it is a disguise for radical terrorism of all kinds. Religious groups hide the hideousness of their actions by claiming it is "what God wants." If you ask a member of Westboro Baptist Church why they are carrying such a hateful sign the person will respond" it's not me saying it, this is what God says."

  • @TheRealACvideos That's a rather erroneous statement for you to make, the Puritans were the ones burning people at the stake (The Puritans, by the way, did not get along with the Quakers). The Quakers were/are firmly rooted in peace and non-violence. They didn't even fight during the Revolutionary War in what is the present day U.S. and the ones that did were kicked out of the group. Do some research into the group before making such an uninformed statement.

  • @TheRealACvideos Well spoken .

  • @TheRealACvideos Where do you get this nonsense that Quakers burned people at the stake?? They did no such thing.

  • @TheRealACvideos

"It was the Quakers who started the trend in early America of burning people at the stake."

...That's way off. It was Calvinist Puritans behind the Salem witch trials. Besides for being totally wacky, the Quakers (officially the "Religious Society of Friends") weren't too bad. Also, besides for the ~30 "convicted witches" in the late 17th century there was no stake buring trend in early America.

I'm all for bashing religion but you need to get your facts straight.

  • i agree that belief in any religion causes the shut down of creative thinking because the outcome of any of the scenarios are the same so there is no need to think about anything but the end of the world and really you dont have to think about that because it is going to happen anyway sad isnt it?

  • Google preterism.

  • Christopher Hitchens is the Chuck Norris of intelligence.

See those books behind him? He read them all in 6 minutes.

  • @Krumbz2003

He wrote those books in 6 minutes!

  • Christianity is nothing more than a glorified death cult.

It should be looked at like any other psychosis.

  • Dont realy think thay hate any gods, thay just dont believe in gods. Why hate something you dont believe exist?

  • you cant hate something that doesnt exsist

  • ahh, but you're forgetting what existence is. Not just physical embodiment. God exists in the same way Communism exists or Fascism existed. It's the same thing. With that in mind I think it is possible (and just) to hate god

  • but you can prove communism and fascism exsists, you can't prove god does. and i you can i would really like to know how because you would be the first.

  • god exists because of the influence the idea of a god has on people's lives. Religions are a proof. I mean fuckin Xenu exists in the same sense. It's not a person or a living entity of any measure, it exists as a concept. And that's enough

  • believing in something doesn't make it real, but yes concepts exist. pots of gold at the end of rainbows is a concept, but do you believe they exist at the end of any rainbow?

even if i granted you your premise, it proves nothing sir.

  • All i was tryna prove was that you CAN hate god and legitimately. Personally I think god is a stupid man made idea. The only reason I brought it up in the first place was cos of how I hate the influence the damn thing has on the people I know's lives. Anyway, that's enough of that

  • @Emerald1234S He wins.

  • @Emerald1234S

Yeah god exists about as much as mathematics exist.

    He's just not as useful.

  • @Emerald1234S

If people were able to understand that god and Jesus are just an idea, everything would be fine. Unfortunately, there are people who take that stuff seriously. When they accept those things which are fundamentally irrational, they give up their crtiical thinking and reasoning skills. This has a disasterous effect on the world.

  • Yes, that's true. I know I'm trying to put the existence of a god in sociological terms, doesn't really latch on to those who actually see a big magical man in the sky. For any everyday discussion on the matter it would be far easier to just say no, it doesn't exist at all. Very true

  • @Trisnowda

That is true. People will often ask why atheists would even bother to talk about god if they do not believe he exists. What atheists really hate is the effect that the irrational belief in god has on so much of the population.

  • @jimbrown257

Awesome comment. I'd also add that since a majority of Atheists at one time or another actually believed in the doctrine that these religions preach... we know firsthand how detrimental and counter productive they are to oneself.

  • @jimbrown257 Really? have you assessed the effect that atheism has on the population? look at the 20th century.

  • @Littlezombie

Your name certainly suits you sir.

  • Baaaaahahah, you're in this comments section too?

Nice one, and about that mathematics joke - pure class.

    :)

    x

  • It is so true. All religous people are really just waiting around to die so they can go to what they think is some celestial home. So what is to stop some radicalist from just dropping a bomb on the whole as to to help us get home quicker. Why can't these people see the nonsense in all of this. I know let's make our own good moral laws and follow them. Without a dictator. good idea huh. remember don't we want to be free of dictatorship in america. then let lose of those religious chains.

  • The only problem with that idea is that it makes too much sense.

  • That old man is awesome. I wish we were friends.

  • He just kicks so much ass....

  • Belief in Revelations=Lust for the end of the world.

  • Christianity is a death cult, plain and simple. I'm glad I ended my membership long ago. Hitchens has an amazing intellect. Let him drink, he's not hurting anyone but himself. Who the fuck are any of you to judge?

  • @prostock69 Hear hear!!!

  • @prostock69 Not to mention the fact of how good he looks for 61. I used to loathe Hitchens, now I admire him.

  • @prostock69 Right on, brother. Nobody's business but his own. The second Hitch utters a stupid, shitty idea I'll be all over him. But his drinking is his own affair and none of my fucking business.

  • @prostock69 Exactly

  • @prostock69 I'd say amen if I were religious. Ha! But seriously, Hitch is Hitch--let him enjoy the sauce all he wants.

  • @prostock69 Hitchens intellect seems to have gotten him into a bind, just look at him now. I will take wisdom over intellect any day.

  • @virtualguitarist There's not too much wisdom in believing in talking snakes and virgin births.

  • @prostock69 And we are glad to get rid of idiots like you

  • I wish it to be known that I have an enormous knob. Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • Far too much information old boy

  • Consider it known... wtf ? hahaha

  • I like these Fora TV videos for the most part, but DAMN do I hate that opening "music". It sounds like some kind of soundtrack for a bad sci-fi movie about hypnosis gone wrong. Nauseating.

  • Hitchen Rocks !

  • When HItchens wanted to find out if waterboarding was torture, he did the courageous thing--he was waterboarded himself.

See what he learned in my video "hannity inanity"

  • i wonder if condy or dicky boy and bush would ever be brave enough to get waterboarded ! i very much doubt it ! JAIL them all for war crimes.

  • Although Hitchens has been disinherited by Gore Vidal for good reason it is always a pleasure to hear him expound on the absurdities of religion.

  • Disinherited is a strong word. I dount Gore Vidal will last much in a political debate with Hitchens.

As for religion I am one of those fans of his that finds his diatribes about the subject a lot more vague and mediocre as opposed to his political commentary.

  • Well, he did do a good job sending more troops :P

That's what I'm saying. He has credentials in political commentary and I value his opinions. It's when he gets into religion bashing that he loses his ground. All he does is string together some paraodying proses, squeezes some hearty laughs, and rests his case.

I much prefer his political views. Liberals seems to be on the other side of the fence.

  • So GOOD! I've seen it before, but enjoy it more each time.

I'm a new subscriber, Silverstream314. Thanks for this.

  • One correction for Hitchens: Christians don't long for the Armageddon because they want to be dead -- on the contrary, it is because they so are afraid of death, preferring to escape it by hastening the Messiah's return during their own lifetimes, so they will not have to face death but be instantly translated into eternal life.

Everybody else can go to hell.
