GIMP: Create Text Along A Path

Thank you for this tutorial. It was very easy to understand. . . but I am stuck at "selection from path" because I cannot make my paths dialog show the paths, or visible icons for the paths. . . I just have a rectangle that has "design", "edit", and "move" as options. . .

wut version of gimp are u running? urs looks nothing like mine....can't find dialogues anywhere ugh....tutorial is awesome just wish i knew where to find dialogues cuz its not where urs is =(

I cannot figure out why my text is way off center to my path. Also my text keeps overlapping and it is not to big for my path???

@ablogTV try editing your text using the Text tool to suit the path

In version 2.6, go to Windows -> Dockable Dialogs -> Paths

with the new versions, you can go to the Path option via Tools > Paths
