  • I love this. Where is this???

  • these are awesome because you can stack these high.

  • this would work perfect for me. wish there was something like this near me.

  • look at all those shoes

  • Lmfao, did they shoot the matrix scene there????!!!! Hallway full of doors. Wow, screams personality, I gotta say, no sheeple crammed into cans here, look away!

  • Is this a 40foot container or a 20foot? (Though it looks a bit small to be a 20)

  • does the storage company know you live in their?

  • yea well i was watching about how you can make houses into shipping containers crazy aint it

  • A guy having all those shoes jesus!

  • hahahaha i started off watching swarms of fire ants to this...

  • why the hell are the top commentors fighting over what escalators and elevators? it does not talk about this video

  • thats nuttin well i wana know how i got from watching vids of new nitro rc car imma buy to 80 ft gainer to this WTF man!!???!!

  • How many fucking shoes do you have!

  • if i were a guest at ur home, im telling u now, i would have a hard time sitting on the chairs you stuck hanging on the wall. ;D

  • Maybe less shoes and bigger place.

  • Skip to 0:50. Wadsworth constant in action.

  • why do some guys own so many shoes? wtf

  • i can see myself living in something like that

  • For god sakes don't FART in there! Lmao

  • it very unique in a cool way, but the windows are clear and at someone head level, it would be hard to walk around in the compact space unclothed

  • what city is this in??? it seems familiar

  • haha why is there a cushy chair facing the toilet?

  • love it

  • so its many containers?

I often think about how good it would be to convert an old cargo ship or oil tanker into a house/s, u could use the cargo area for greenhouses with glass hatches and live in the rear, u could grow your own bio diesel even!

Just raise anchor and find a nice bay somewhere.

  • always film in daylight.

  • uhh, where's your shower or bathtub?

  • @flamedrag18 right next to the toilet behind the curtain is the shower...

  • @lestat34208 ah, missed that. it's a reasonably sized house for what it is.

  • @flamedrag18 pretty cool 5th element style lol

  • Good. I like it. But it really needs more built-in storage to keep things tidier.

Small is not a problem, as long as it is tidy and neat.

That requires built in storage spaces to keep junk off the floor and off countertops.

Good way to live green and cheap.

  • Haha, "Bullshit boulevard".

  • won;t it be hot in there with just that tiny window?

  • how much is rent?

  • People who have been living on the street feel more comfortable in a small space like this. Not everyone wants to "live large". Shipping containers could be a solution to the problems of homelessness and high living costs for many people. Thanks for sharing views of your living space with us all.

  • were is this? Stavangerweg Amsterdam?

  • buying expensive houses..seems like control to me...then people are in work 24/7 to pay for them..and seem to forget to live tooo

  • how did I get from watching escalators and elevators to shipping containers being as houses?

  • @isyavai lol

  • @isyavai im waiting for some bitch to post a video living in a kennel

  • @isyavai Why the hell were you watching escalators and elevators?

  • @isyavai wtf? you were watching escalators?

  • @isyavai idk bout you, i was watching vids about nazi bases that tuned to bomb shelters in back yards to this.

  • @isyavai Gee I don't know, maybe because you clicked on it, dumb fuck?

  • @isyavai

Your finger activating a switch on your mouse or mouse pad making the little white arrow point to a video link. : )

  • that looks better than our house ;p

  • with all those shoes....this better be a female

  • p.p.s. i meant another shoe rack...sheesh! lol

  • um... okay, so this building is made out of rows of joined shipping containers....is that it?

    p.s. may i suggest a shoe rack? :)

  • so its pretty much a storage unit but you were allowed to create it as an apartment? jeeze i gotta get me one of these.

  • And with that amount of bikes in front, try to guess in wich part of the world this is... LOL

  • this is so cozy looking. I love it.

  • great vid, it does make me glad that I stayed in school and got a great job though...

  • It's perfect, I hate large living spaces.

  • wow my furnitur would not fit but i bet the space is cheaper to heat and cool it is a nice looking crib (apartment) awsome how much for one of these?

  • The bathroom is so small I couldn't resist using it if I lived in those shipping containers!

  • Im curious where do you live? It definitely looks as though the containers were planned to be used for students, are these on a campus?

  • Like a forumla 1 room. Be great for students or temporary living, just would want to live in one my whole life. I think your video style was effective ;)

  • dam boy you have alot of shoes

  • Would a little narration kill you?

  • This whole video looks....depressing

  • its like a studio apartment. very nice. thank you.

  • is that a 20ft container?

  • Are you sure you've got enough shoes there??

  • found your keys lol

  • at least the TV is appropriate unlike the people living in trailer parks with 50 inch TV's

  • @woejipums what.. people in trailer parks are only allowed a certain size TV?

  • @Janitor989 If somebody would rather watch a huge TV than save the money for a nicer house that won't blow away in a windstorm it's their own business. I just find it poor judgement. Everybody has their priorities.

  • so you pee and poop in the sink? wow i wish i was in a shipping container

  • @grsscttrbrdy

    you mustve missed the toilet

  • so is this an apartment building made of containers? that's awesome

  • that's all I need, better than an apartment!

  • what size container is this

  • I am moving into one of these at the end of the month, glad I found this vid because it is the ONLY media on the internet that actually shows the inside of one, I found it suspicious that the housing agency only provided outdoor pictures. Plus it's like 45+ minutes away from the hva campus so I kinda got screwed but oh well

  • 2 many shoes lol seriously you need all those? they take up too much space... cool house though. wouldn't mind it a bit larger in the inside though.

  • It student halls in Holland in Netherlands. Shipping containers are both good and bad. They make the place structurally built like a tank. If there is a fire it wont collapse or burn so easy but there will be a problem with heat and flash burn unless designed/ventilated correctly. The windowed wall at the end can easily be popped out from its frame from the inside with a few screwdrivers. If you run at it hard enough you might be able to break it down. the doors of the cont. have been taken off.

  • The problem is this.If we downsize our living spaces to dwell in a box it will cause more of the same dwellings to be built right up next to you.Soon no yards trees parks and any place of nature.I get the whole recycle and reuse thing I believe in it but in response to Michael 7477 + anyone else who got the 5th element referance. That was a play on the overpopulation of the future that is why Corban Dallas had to live in a shipping container sized apartment.Actually wasnt as big as container

  • Thought I was watching an old episode of 'The X-Files'. LIGHT IT UP MAN!

  • For all you idiots that ask where is this, it's Holland; The Netherlands, retards, just check the guy's channel. I knew it was before checking it, saw some pictures elsewhere. Btw, Containers come in 20 and 40 feet long only. I've seen these being used near beaches as police quarters. And in construction sites as offices. But clearly as it's shown here, as homes. Might be tiny, but those people don't give a damm, they spent half a day baked by weed anyway so they don't think much about that.

  • fire escape?

  • @99cachorro

A point well made, all permanent structures in Europe have to be built to Eurocodes7, which takes into account fire access etc, which the appears to be a lack of here - but are the permanent? To me the fire risk of these structures cannot be ignored, when an enviable fire breaks out the place will act as one big oven - not for me.

  • @99cachorro sad if you can start a fire in that house and not get out.

  • @TheDietwawa If a fire starts in one "apartment", it can't spread to the others because of the metal walls between them (probably insulation/soundproofing between the metal walls) and he can exit either through the door or the window at either end.

  • Why so dark?

  • How much is rent?

  • Cool, how much did it cost?

Also, I can't help but notice the similarities with how people in large Japanese cities live. Sure they may have more rooms, but about the same amount of space.

By the way you should really get a futon, those things are comfy as hell and take up no room.

  • @ihaterobbie123 guessing for container 4,000-8000 then you have to build it add plumbing n wiring etc can be price I suppose..

  • what would have made this video cooler is when you opened the door moulder was standing their wearing the lone gunmans lost hat.nope but you went all blair witch without any lighting.fail

  • catch a clue and try lighting, this would be so much better if the containers were underground and each unit was a member of your survival network.instead of the dorms for dorks.

  • Turn the lights on!!! Damn idiot. Why would you even add this clip? Fuck! Erase the film and redo it! Idoit

  • that guy has more shoes than most girls I know...

  • why would u film it at night?

  • What about the other doors? Other people living there?

  • is this cost effective????

  • thats a lot of shoes!

  • wonder what the ladies think

  • Nice for a bachelor pad..

  • really like this and sure beats paying these high rent NYC has

  • I always wondered what Neo would have found if he had chosen the wrong door.

  • is that 20 feet in length or 30 feet in length for the shipping container?

  • INTERESTING...! THERE IS ANOTHER SHIPPING CONTAINER RESORT HOME THAT HAS BEEN BUILT IN MALAYSIA. LOOK VERY COMFORTABLE TO LIVE IN..... SEARCH YOUTUBE -" SMART GREEN HOME 2010 "-.

  • awesome bro!

How much did you pay for it? or what is the rent?

  • I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE!!!!!! FREAKIN' SHWEET!!!

  • I just love these homes, how secure are you. very secure.

  • You're not living...barely surviving I would say.

  • how big is dis container?

  • human filing cabinet.

  • Bullshit blvd. beautiful mate.

  • Is this amsterdam?

  • how much is rent

  • a man needs only one paris of shoes.

  • @captmanonymous i agree

  • love it

  • stick to your day job ... your filmography is abysmal

  • bathroom?

  • perfect university students dorm room.... 100$per week..

  • That may possibly be the smallest house I've ever seen.

  • lighting bro lighting!!!

  • bs bullavard lol made me laugh

  • Your house? Looks like Student Housing to me.

  • i like it ..

  • dude thats a creepy hallway

  • Very cool.

This reminds me of Corban Dallas' appartment in "the fifth element". I was expecting a floating junk to approach to offer take aways. I think shipping containers are an excellent way into your first home. I'd rather live in my own container than be someone elses rent slave. Thanks for uploading.

  • @Michael7477 words out of my mouth what i was thinking :)

  • @Michael7477 Was scared if there was an "au-u-u-u-u-to wa-a-a-ash-sh-sh-sh"

  • SMOKE YOU!!! hahaha right?

  • @Michael7477 Sonicdeathwalrus is a meat popsicle.

  • looks like the matrix in the hallway with the phone ringing in the background

  • well that looks miserable .... Makes me love my place even more 2000 sqft for one person and i drive a corvette that gets 17 mpg LOL God bless America

  • @waytofastvette Your missing the point of smart housing ideas and eco-friendly living. That Vet wouldn't be much fun if suddenly you couldn't get a single gallon to go 17 miles. That big home likely has a HUGE mortgage payment. What would happen to it if tomorrow - you became unable to work to pay for it? It's about living smarter, not working harder just to keep up with the Jones's. Think about having your own custom home, and little to no house payment.

  • @VideoGuyNC my thoughts exactly

  • @VideoGuyNC true unless you live in texas you got land for a four to five story house and all the land to make subterraniean housing

  • @waytofastvette

YOu numbskull, this is more than likely student housing, which, in america, even in the more high class schools, you have to share something about the same size with another person, you have to share a bathroom with 20 other people and you have to PAY for it on top of it. So shut up about other countries and their way of approaching a problem.

  • @waytofastvette May I recommend a name change? I like the ring of waytoodecadenttroll.

    @sonicdeathwalrus Nice housetainer.

  • is that like an apt. complex.

  • If its a shipping container, why is is in a building ? :S

  • it probably isnt a shipping container. its maybe just an indoor storage place

  • Do you live anywhere near the arctic circle? I have seen these types of homes shipped up in the northern regions to house employees in extreme remote areas.

  • u live is the us right?

  • the hallway reids me of the atrix

  • I use to bring women back to my works shipping container it didn't have heat so it was cold during the winter

  • couple of serious questions.

    1. How much is it to rent one?

    2. How are utuilities? pretty ordinary?

    3. Why do you have 6,327 pairs of shoes?

  • actually looks damn nice

  • If anyone knows where I can find blueprints or info on how to config/design a home 3000ft+ using shipping containers, please let me know.

  • Do You live in japan?

  • that's frickin' DARK footage. It's hard for me to see this on my monitor.

  • I'm going to build a shipping container house, but I will certainly keep it tidier than THAT.

  • How many shoes does one NEED. Greedy....

  • I wonder if the residents can tell they are living in a Faraday cage?

    and...

    please, folks,

davetileguy is pulling y'all's leg. Lighten up.

  • How many pairs of shoes does one need? I have 2 myself, sandles for summer & snow boots for winter. Must of been 30 pairs here...wow!

  • @anahatabalance sure old growth cedars are eco friendly,I only use the heartwood and than I burn the rest returning it to mother earth, and our two hummers allways have the correct tire pressure and i recycle my used oil down an old water well shaft, back where it came from!!I'm doing my part!

  • nice video ! well done .. good room ! 5 star !

  • YA REAL COOL! if ya like takin a dump and making dinner at the same time! sorry bro!

  • I'm sure glad I'm American! we'r building a 5000 sq ft house on 20 acres next year,is that to much?we'r thinking about using old growth ceder to make it eco friendly!

  • To davetileguy:

Cutting down old growth ceders is NOT eco friendly. Try recycled wood or salvaged wood instead. I'm sure you think your Hummer is eco friendly, too

  • @anahatabalance

    I know, right?

I'll bet they're Christians from Texas!

It's not necessarily the gross ignorance about ecology that gripes me -

But the brash and obtuse arrogance about it (as belied by davetileguy) that really bugs me.

    Honestly!

  • @anahatabalance most Americans do..it was voted environmentally friendly car of the year in the US in 2008 (Because it was a hybrid with a very small electric motor that kicked in only 3% of the time!!) LOL!!!

England had a right laugh!!! It was all over the car news tabloids in England!!!! That thing used at least 1.5x as much gas as ANY normal family car in England!!! hahaahhaa!

  • @davetileguy

    what a fuckin retard

  • wow that's a really cool place! I've lived in a warehouse in Toronto, and a church in the country, and I bought a recycled cottage and plunked it on a new foundation on some wilderness. This container would have been perfect down at my river....i would have put in some skylights....and if in the country, at least south/east windows. These are such great ideas. The creativity is endless! i knew people in the country who built a home with hay bales and concrete. It was so cosy!!!!

  • which insects?

  • how much do you pay for rent?

  • hope rent is cheap

  • very Fifth Element

  • That's nice, you know, being eco-friendly and all!

  • I love this idea. With the worlds poputlation growing at an alarming rate the idea of smaller housing is one of need for the future generations. No one NEEDS a big house, every thing you need for living is all fit into a space no larger than what one NEEDS. I am looking at container housing for myself and my man, hoping to find an eco friendly prefab one to be brought to our home town....

  • It looks pretty nice for the space.

Slightly reminds me of the apartments

    in Tokyo.

    You've a lot of shoes!

    Thanks for the tour!

  • Cool place and beats having to share it w/ someone else.

I see storage as a problem but the space could be better utilized.

  • Is there a video of the house in the daytime???

  • Some light would've made this more interesting...

  • Comment removed

  • That's the funniest story I've ever heard, Larlar321 !!!!!

  • Its mostly for students..

    Denk ik haha

  • Awesome little house but where do you wash your clothes?
