@offsetsammy Yes i have, but its not a multi-touch screen is it? It certainly has a very small multi-touch screen on it, but you cant hook that up with your PC and use it as a input device. What i was hoping they could commercialize was those big multi touch monitors you could connect to your personal computer.

Yes you can hook it up to a PC and use it as an input device, you can even have that shit sync wirelessly.

This is a video from a university computer lab, companies like Apple and Samsung picked it up and made commercial products.

My android phone can 10x the amount of stuff that this thing can do.

What I was talking about were those big ass multi touch monitors you could use in more complex tasks than what you can do with small cell phone or tablet screens. Image and video editing for a nice example.

Btw, dont just assume every cellphone has a multi touch screen, most of them dont have one.

@jariroth An iPhone or Android cell phone is by definition a multitouch screen. Over 50% of cell phones sold and operated in the US at this time are smartphones, over 80% of those are iPhones and Androids. Ergo most cell phones are multitouch.

Also they have in fact done something with this, at least microsoft has. They have even taken it steps further to give us cell phone syncing simply by placing it on this table watch?v=iBUHjaZ2Uk0

And i have known about Microsoft surface since few years ago. But it was only released this April. Now take a look at my 1st post, it was posted 7 moths ago. Just around when MS Surface was released.

There was practically no progress before that. It was already usable back in 2007 but somehow they havent made to global market even till today(Only available at AT&T which is only USA).

I think there is a way to home make it. You just need some good hardware to do it. the placement of the camera and projector or type of projector may be key
