lowering S2000s actually worsens the cars performance. Honda engineered the S2000s stock height to be the best it could be. lowing it any bit makes the performance worse. but DAMN that looks badass ahaha!
I have a friend with a 370z on 19's with bc's and that bitch is super slammed compared to the s2k. but yes it is about knowing your car and knowing the roads.
@vzes my friend has a 350z with cambered 10.5s up front and 11.5's in the back and a 2.5' drop and its all about the way you angle speed bumps and stuff, i agree with gecko you just cant drive straight into a speed bumps you have to learn how to drive over them and stuff
od lol that car wont last here in new york pot holes will eat that shit up...but i gotta say im digging the drop.. i have a prelude type sh dropped and i cant take it lol...everytime i try to get out the car my knees feel like there about to snap lol
@vzes9s2k cuse some moron in a Honda CRV rear ended it so it got written off a long time ago.. now i have gti 1.8T as low as this. Its up to the driver on how well the car can get over speed bumps not the car
@vzes9s2k If you had any sense you would know what i mean. If the driver is just some moron and goes strait on every time and gets stuck or scrapes the shit out of his car that's not the cars fault now is it. But if there is a smart driver who knows how to get their car over the bumps its usually not much of a problem. a duuurrrrr go back to watching fast and the furious and remember more lines from the movies, ricer
@SilverGecko1 Boy please shut up, you have no idea what you're talking about. S2k's are already low when stock so lowering it that much would cause a-lot of trouble, also not all speed humps are the same size. The smallest ones will rape the bottom of an S2k no matter how much you angle it, but you wouldn't know anything about that since you drive a Hoe-wagon. Oh and don't sweat it about your chevy, that guy did you a favor.
@vzes9s2k all your "facts" about dropped s2k's arent true. yes some big potholes will damage the undercarriage but a good driver knows his car and how to handle the bumps and potholes. mine is dropped to the floor and im in new york. open the door and touch the floor no problem lol. never bottomed out once and ive been dropped over a year. its all knowing your car.
woooow.stock s2000's are 4" from the ground..and that feels real low to me, when i get in and out of the car... his drop looks like 2 inches from the ground. Looks great but it isn't practical for anywhere other than the track.
im bout to slam my s2000, i had a dumped up DA and I had to go in at an angle but i would still kinda hit it but if you hit that bump at an angle and go slow youll be fine
wtf dont listen to all these people in there 4x4s slammed is priority one, very nice, very clean, super touring, gt many cars race truly slammed, don't raise it an inch
haha what? yea dude many race cars sit that low... mhm sure. it would take an amazing (amazingly stiff!) suspension set up to get a car like that to handle TURNS ata high speed, without rubbing, something a lot of kids dont understand, cars where meant to be raced circuits as well tool bag, not just your silly little races past your highschool at a blazing 90 mph. BUT it still looks good :)
Yes it does look good, but 1) im not in highschool so that reference is meaningless, and 2) if you've ever seen british super touring, with 2litre 4dr sedans you would know that they are fully slammed... the cars even have onboard hydraulic jacks to lift them up, thats how fuckin low they are
actually depending on what mods are done to the car, slammed isnt always bad. Usually too low with ruin suspension geometry, but if he is on high end coilovers with roll center adjusters, he can still handle extremely well that low. Chances are, hes probably on cheap coils, though, so no good
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow..you're not the coolest kid on the block just because it's slammed. All it shows is you prefer form over function, the only strongest point to the S2K, it's superb handling and suspension, is now gone, and you can no longer drive it hard in the twisties.
what u have it sitting on?
