The cop who came to the scene said he could probably go to the house of the person who actually took MY GPS and get it back, but he didn't have probable cause to do so. I told him to give ME the address and his gun... he laughed. I didn't. Luckily my insurance covered the window, but I had to buy a new GPS for one hundred bucks. =(

Just had my GPS stolen a couple of weeks ago. What's worse is that I am a lock everything all the time person too (just like you). One of my doors didn't close all the way - so the car just didn't lock at all! They took it in my driveway while I was in the house. @Manda2625 It's hard to steal a vehicle with an immobiliser fitted, which a lot of modern cars have. Even if they do manage to get it started, that's unlikely because in order to start the car in most cases they have to find a way to bypass the immobiliser (which is hard to access if it is built-in to the car)

my boyfriend and i went to a movie a couple years ago and i left my purse in the truck. when the movie was over we went back to the truck and someone had stolen all the money from my paycheck. it was a very stressful time. cops couldnt do anything and rent was due. that was probably the worst thing that could happen when u go on a date :-P(i take that back...i passed from hunger and heat on our first date. that was pretty bad too.)

im from colorado and we get all sorts of weather. and my cousins live in boston like near cape cod, so we were in cape cod over the summer and there was a rainbow and my cousins are flipping out and taking dozens of pics of it. i thought they were weird for it haha different worlds.

Trust me, America does not know the meaning of "rain" untill 1) they've been in a flood. 2) They've been to the UK. I happen to live there.
When I was a baby, some guy walked in our kitchen and just took our toaster and walked away. My parents always remember that one. And someone took my purse at a carnival about a year ago. It had £20 in it. =[ And it wasn't borrowed from my parents!

My entire car was stolen, taken for a joy ride, and found abandoned by the police all while I was sleeping.
It is possible someone had a keyless entry system that opened your car. Many are generic and work for different cars so burglars have a bunch and try many until a car opens.

three years ago, A drunk 19 year old stole my moms car and drove it in a high speed chase through out Indianapolis. He crashed it into a light pole and totaled it. We were pissed. Can't wait for the Music video!

i locked my car and it got broken into and everything from my cd player, cd's, and my winter coat that i just bought was stolen from my car and i had to pay for the damages from the window being busted out and clean up the mess....it was a horrible day and every cd i owned was stolen (i was like 16 so no one told me that i needed to take all that stuff out my car or it would be broken into...well i learned my lesson! LOL)
