if you have a vcr, you can get an RCA cable that goes from the a/v out port on your vcr, plug the xbox into the a/v in port, and you don't need a splitter. it's what i do

You should get a S-video to AV splitter, move your TV up close to your computer so that way you can play on the TV while record on the comp. No laggy computer screen to watch so your game play wont get messed up.
