the 3.7 v6 is pointless, whats the point in having such a small gas engine in a truck that heavy, they should have just made the 3.0 v6 DIESEL in the US as well as europe, it makes more torque than the hemi, and can tow a couple hundread KG's more, and another thing is, you dont have to keep visiting the gas station every day, ive driven my uncles 3.0 diesel in england, and i can safely say i would trade in a few seconds 0-60 time for the torque of the diesel.... anyone else agree with me?

the european 3.0 v6, makes more torque than the 5.7 litre hemi.... it passes cars at over 100mph on the highway, easy, and has a top speed of 132 mph, even though jeep sad it only does 118...... the guy in the video is a dick

this is a niche vehicle. If you aren't in the niche then there are better choices and the satisfaction numbers most likely are a result of non-niche people buying it and not seeing the benefits while paying for them (14ish mpg)...

So what am I talking about? The 4x4 system is only rivaled by the LR3's. If you live in a suburb on the west side of Denver... this SUV will get you, the wife, and the kids home safely during the winter months.

@VerbalPez, the 4wd system is rivaled only by the LR3? Surely you're kidding, right? First of all there are at least 3 different 4wd system available on this vehicle. Secondly, even the top-of-the-line QDII system isn't any better than the 4wd system found in the Toyota 4Runner. Actually a 4Runner is as capable or more capable than a Commander.

I just got one today, its a 2006 4.7 v8 and is VERY NICE. GPS, Satellite Radio, 2 wheel drive (don't need 4 wheel dirve) red, leather, well its just fully loaded with everything.

Amen to that . That is the only problem that I have with mine is the leg room in the back. I love mine though I have the limited Hemi edition so the power is awsome and the offroad ability is sweet.

I have a 2007 Commander and I love it, my only problem is the rearview mirror is useless with the 3rd row up. Other then that it drives great, takes bumps really well and the 4x4 is perfect for the snowy winters here in Vermont

The stearing is very disconnected from the rest of the car. I have driven my girlfriends. It has to much of a heavy feelng when driven. Not to mention the cheaply made dash, its horrible with its mass amount of buttons.

Only positive(s) is the stero system rocks.

The folding seats are nice =D

In conclusion id say is the only thing the Jeep Commander is good for is getting laid in.

I had my first time in a Commander, the folding seats are a plus

I have owned my commander for a month now, and absolutely love it! The vehicle design really won me over on this one. One of the little 'surprises' I recently discovered with this Jeep is that, due to the 'stepped-up' roofline, I can actually see through the back window in the rear view mirror when the DVD screen is flipped down.

ive got a 2006 commander with the 4.7liter engine. it is actually really slow because of the transmision. it shifts to early and you dont really get power unless you stop on the gas. but a a off road vihecle its one of the best. i was rock climbing earlier today and it was so much fun.

I have a Commander but it has a Merc 3.0 CRD diesel engine as it is UK spec. I get about 29mpg on longer journies and about 22 mpg around town. Fuel is around £5.50 ($10) per gallon but I think the car is worth it. I am 6' 7" tall and have more space than Land Rover, Toyota or Mitsubishi. The car copes exceedingly well with Scottish mountains and the weather uo north. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the car and the price.
