I understand the idea behind Bullrun. I am old enough to have seen Cannonball Run in the theaters & thought it was a cool movie. Then I started road racing in real life & learned first hand how amazingly dangerous it is. On a racetrack. everyone signs a release of liability. They all know the dangers. Everyone is going the same direction & roughly the same speed. If you wreck, there are 2 ambulances there that will be at your side within a couple minutes tops.On the street, none of that is true.

People are so stupid when it comes to dealing with pigs. The pigs need a reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed to pull someone over and probable cause to keep them detained there (they would have to be placed under arrest). After a few minutes I would have left, if they would have stopped me, that would be an arrest and I would then sue for false arrest.

Their probable cause was the sports care and the race stickers on the car. Any person would reasonably conclude that car was part of the group that was exceeding 100mph. Not to mention the cars might of been pointed out when the person called to report them. They had every right to pull them over.

I understand you are most certainly not an attorney, but you are confusing the "reasonable suspicion" necessary to perform a stop (under Terry v. Ohio) as opposed to the "probably cause" necessary to make an arrest. Pig might have had reasonable suspicion, he did not have probable cause to arrest all those drivers. I would have left after a few minutes and pig could either make an illegal arrest or let me go.
