@cowzrule101 for x, you rotate the cube so that the face that's on the front, goes on the top. Search up rubik's cube notation that includes x y z cube rotations to learn
I have a case where I'm about to finish the last two edges (not four) and it's sort of like the 5x5 where I just need to switch two of the pieces and you would use the Ll' U2 Ll' U2 F2 Ll' F2 Rr U2 Rr' U2 Ll2 algorithm to solve it on the 5x5.. I've tried using that for the 7x7 but it doesn't work. Could anyone tell me how to fix this? I come across this error almost every time I try solving the 7x7.
@esquimalt1@esquimalt1 which inner layer ? there's five. I tried only spinning the very middle layer, but that only made things worse.. then I tried only spinning the layer that was screwed up, and that made things much worse.
hey thanks bro i get it now! you pretty much are moving the center row over to where a piece should be. then you flip the edge so the piece is in the correct space and then slice back and its in the right position.
@0:46 so how i would go about placing this here , is.. this piece, this is where this piece needs to go so i can turn it underneath and then i will flip this edge.?? 20 turns and 1 second later... so that now that its here. WAT?!?!
Hey man. This really helped me out. Just takes some time to think ahead and not make mistakes that could potentially make me ruin what I've done already. Working at it though, getting better.
Also, you told me before that your cube is so smooth because you have used it a lot and it's broken in, and also that you have lubricated it several times. How long have you had the cube and how did you lubricate it? Take it completely apart and spray with silicone? What brand if so?
I just got my cubes the other day. Your 7X7 seems to turn WAY better than mine. Mine isn't that bad, but it's not like yours. Is that just because it's broken in? Or did you take it all apart and lube it really good and put it back together? Please let me know.
Yeah, that cube is really broken in. But also it was lubed several times. And if it makes a difference I average about 4:15 on the 7x7 so fast turning speed also broke it in.
nice tricks..a better alg in my opinion for 5:04. is turning the cube so the unsolved pairs are in uf and ub and do L' U2 L' U2 F2 L' F2 R U2 R'. I think that thats the alg...
To find your pieces without pausing too long you'll need to practice looking ahead, by slowing down your movements you may be faster because you don't pause as much... Also I like to start with black (or white) for the first 4 edges, and if I catch any edges already paired I will reserve them and pair them thereafter... other than that practice practice...
@esquimalt1 May i ask you how your v-cube 7 turns so good? please reply.

@esquimalt1 ok so i have all the edges done but on 2 of them the veary middle of them need to be switched with eacher what would u do?
halo3player45 6 months ago
@halo3player45 try to slice, flip, slice back, in a way so that you'll end up with one edge left. then if you have parity watch my last edge tutorial

@mollyphloot07 use that algorithm but when you do L's and R's only turn the inside layer. so only one layer should be turned, the inner one

Hahaha, the trash edge. It looks like you're just touching the layers as they automatically turn, like magic!
