  • cung le = re-incarnation of bruce lee :)

  • @Tranman69 Except not...

He just got his ass kicked by Wanderlei Silva and Wandy is well passed his prime.

  • he is vietnammese

  • Cung Le number 1

  • joe rogan ufc 129

  • we are proud from you ,and i love CONG LE

  • Cung Le is best

  • I hate 2 say it but when u ACTING, u can reanact a scene if it is N.G

BUT when u FIGHTING, u cant reanact to a situation or else ur opponent will just kick the sh*t out off ur a*s

Pls dun compare this FIGHTING Martial Artist 2 other ACTING Movie Artist

Just FYI, Do u all know that all country around (or friendly country of) china will have some sort of wrestling/fighting skill, such as russia, india, japan, korea, south east asia, etc which R inspire from kungfu?

  • Shuai jiao is the foundation of Sanda, mixed with kung fu. This is an effective street fighting style. The military are taught this, along with the police.

  • Why doesn't he utilize his throws more in his MMA fights?

  • his throws are outta this world.. he throws dudes around like medicine balls.

  • cung could have been the #1MMA fighter if he had started sooner. The guy is truly amazing and on caliber with anyone in MMA.

  • i dont know whats more impressive about this guy. his insanly powerful flashy kicks or the fact that he throws most people his size like little girls.

  • @DaMaxxy Just FYI keyboard warrior, this isnt ACTING, its a REAL fight, which is free flowing. If you had any experience in the fighting arts, you would know this and respect it for what it is. So do yourself a favor....learn to fight fullcontact, get a real record in MMA or something similar and Ill listen to what you have to say. Otherwise, go watch BLOODSPORT and critique that. Thanks! :)

  • @DaMaxxy Says the internet fighter! how many full contact fights do you have you noboby? before you talk trash about real fighters why dont you walk the walk COWARD

  • Where can i find these fights..?

  • hes ok, but his throwing is not like martial arts

  • @bukboy123 Hes just ok? are you retarded? throwing is a part of the martial arts! look up Judo, jiujitsu, Greco roman wrestling...etc Cung le is a fantastic fighter!

  • @JimmyPtheman hes ok, his martial arts is like sanda from china, picking up and throwing them on the ground, its betteer to see fist, feet, shin, knee, this style kinda grabbling style

  • does the name "scott smith" ring a bell :) ? #FAIL

  • One of my favourite fighters to watch... because his fights are never boring. It would be nice to see him fight Wanderlei Silva (another wild, but more aggressive fighter)

  • Cung le did join the mma where have u been??? lol he was a former champion

  • he needs to stop making movies after tekken

  • Wouldn't it be cool if he join MMA around this time?

  • yeeeee!!!, i'm almost sure that he'd be the frist undefeated champion, at least for a while.

  • i think he sniffed too much cocaine ..hehe

  • u know he deafeated frank shamrock when frank was in his prime and cung lost only once in the UFC

  • Frank Shamrock was in his prime 10 years ago and Cung Le has never even fought in the UFC... He HAS fought in Strikeforce - and LOST to Scott Smith - who is a second rate fighter...

  • @DasCrimson

you are right he has only lost once, you i think you mean strikeforce, not ufc

  • KungFu is a variety set of skill to improve overall fighting skill

PLEASE dont hide behind the internet and compare it to TV sport show

  • Mike Tyson had knockout power back when he was boxing, he was one of the most powerful punchers in heavyweight boxing history. But he was a boxer, not an mma fighter where you must have ground game and grappling ability and all that as well. And Cung Le, same thing great stand up game but not much ground game to speak of. He just knocks or throws guys down and lets them get back up. His conditioning in his last fight was way down too, he was out of breath already by the second round.

  • And also I forgot Bruce Lee>Chuck Norris, he may be dead but his legacy will never die lol.

  • Fedor, Anderson Silva, GSP, the three best fighters in mma lol!

  • Cung is great. Flashy yet effective moves. Great takedowns too. Although experienced in one-dimensional fights, Cung is new to mma. He may have great potential. I underestimated him before I saw this video footage.

  • On a side note: Fedor E. vs. the almighty Chuck Norris.

    Thoughts?

Seriously though, what about Mike Tyson in his PRIME vs. Fedor?

  • Did Cung Le learn Nhan Vo Dao or some form of Vietnamese martial arts?

  • SANDA SANSHOU!

  • One of the most technical and well-rounded fighters ever.

  • Dana White wants Cung Le in the UFC. Le fight against Shamrock was exciting.

  • master......

  • you pretty much are BOASTING your martial art!!

  • you people are stupid. he said from his own words HE STUDIED AMERICAN KICKBOXING!!!!! where are you simple fucks getting this info from! im guessing completely out of thin air or your just using his win to boast about your race and its superiority towards the martial art world! HOW BOUT THIS WHY DONT YOU GET YOURSELF A FEW CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS THEN YOU CAN TELL THE WORLD ABOUT VIET VO DAO!! cause he sure didn't

  • He tells people he does Sanshou, he is a champion in san shou....taekwondo,vovinam,wrestling and BJJ its all on his offical web site and in his interviews dumb ass. He trains MMA at American kickboxing academy along with his jujutsu....a gym name not STYLE. or do you want me to see you the link?? lol So the only dumb one is you, everyone has the internet his interviews n website proves you so wrong lmao

  • same reason a kid goes to karate lesons in the US, he likes it better.

  • does it matter what martial art he does as long he achieves his own goals is what matter. Have u ever thought he might not be interested in vovinam or it's not available for him? and that vovinam doesn't cover all aspects for today's mma such as the ground game, grappling. vovinam might do a little grappling but if u're against a first class grappler they stand no chance.

  • when did i say vovinam and vo viet dao was different i only said that the scissor kick that vovinam is famous for is also used in many other martial arts.

  • i'm sorry to dissapoint you but cung le nevered trained in vovinam... and the scissor kick he used is from sanshou where it's aimed in the mid section. + the scissor kick you're talking about is also used in many other martial arts scuh as, hapkido, taekwondo, silat etc. so next time before you criticese something please research the facts first.

  • actually its on Cung Le's official website. Hes done Vovinam, and yes the scissor takedown is in a lot of other styles, but the fact that he stated in his interview during his San-Shou career on espn he it learned in Vovinam..lol and its done at different levels from legs to midsection and also to the neck. That take down is not taught in San Shou, Because 1. it does not "score" bekuz you go down with the opponent..therefore not taught in Sanshou. Cung does it for the Fans.. and 2. I do Sanshou

  • mua thai guy didnt get a chance to fight.conq le put him to sleep

  • Well, that kinda strikes is useless in MMA, escpecially against a pro-grappler like shamrock!!!

    Opsss...

  • has he done karate to?

  • cung got take downs..but now he needs to work on his ground game such as grappling/bjj..so far he hasn't had any problems with others trying to submit him...but he don't need to learn that because he can ground and pound once he mounts...just learn the common submission moves and reverse out of it...cung le is a great fighter..would love to see anderson silva vs cung le

  • Le is knowen for his striking. He has no need for ground, in fact, he prevents his opponent from taking him to the ground.

  • hes a colleginte and all american freestyle and greco roman champion back in high school and college, i wouldnt say he has no ground game.

  • Was that a karate Toruanment with the gi on??? Or was it Judo???

I didn't know karate had there own style of striking/throws but then I think shone carter had a karate/judo throwing style

If anyone can answer that that would be great thanks

  • is a kyokushin karate toruanment

  • Thanks for the reply

But wait..... Was cung le a kyokushin black belt too????

Also is there throws allowed in kyokushin??? And is sanshou a shaolin kickboxing style???

  • cung le's fighting style is taekwondo, sanshou, muay thai,greco-roman wrestling and freestyle wrestling. and yes sanshou is shaolin kickboxing. cung le was in a k1 kyokushin toruanment fighting a karate fighter so the match was taekwondo vs karate

  • Cung Le is making a great boxing legen in history like Mohamed Ali

  • wow fuck 2:45

  • Cung fights in Showcase Elite MMA.

A joke of a league compared to the other MMA organization. Therefore I can't take Cung seriously as a "proven" great fighter..

  • this guy is amazing but does he have any ground technique or is he just a karate and judo fighter. i have to say though his take downs are ridiculous!!

  • Comment removed

  • It was only recent he began training in BJJ he's still a novice at it.

  • yeah my bad. oh he does not do collegiate wrestling he does freestyle wrestling

  • Comment removed

  • He mostly does stand up

  • i know that smart ass

  • then know it dumbass!

    LOL

  • Comment removed

  • which you do on a real fight, you're gonna break your back and get GOUGED AND STABBED using your stupid BRAZILIAN GAY GRACIE JIU JITSU CRAP STOLEN AND FUCKED UP by the gracies from the japanese. BJJ FOOLS LIKE YOU OBVIOUSLY NEVER BEEN IN REAL FIGHTS AND COMBAT.

  • Okay here's the problem with idiots like you. What makes you think that someone who knows BJJ can't eye gouge, or won't pack a knife? Not to offend brazil's crime rate but I'm quite sure there are several BJJ users who do carry knives. ;D.

Also if its been fucked up and it's worse, why is BJJ more well known than Judo?

  • you're an idiot, fuck you and your Gay BJJ blow job jitsu from the faggot gracies. real JAPANESE jiu jitsu, FILIPINO DUMOG AND CHINESE SHIAU JIAU will KILL YOUR GRACIE SISSIES. bjj is for sissies! it's a fake SPORT JIU JITSU AND YOU WILL DIE USING THAT CRAP IN THE STREETS.

  • Lol. Why are you getting so defensive? Are you mad what I say is true? Also I'm going to agree that you don't know shit about Jiu Jitsu or Japanese JU JUTSU, because you can't even spell them right.

  • actually he spelled it right its jiu jitsu

    LoL

sorry but u kinda failed right there :O

  • No you just failed big time.

Ju Jutsu is Japanese, Jiu Jitsu is Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, the brazillian arc.

If you didn't nkow that, you should go walk in some traffic right now.

  • jajaja you re right dude, ju jutsu its the correct name!

  • ju for jap, jiu for brazil!

  • yeah i mean the original is from japan! so is ju aint it?

  • Ju is Japanese

  • its messed up how brazilians try to claim jiujitsu as theirs by adding brazialian in front of it and adding 2 useless moves. they should call their version jujingo or something

  • The really weird thing is that it's not even based off of Japanese Ju Jutsu. Why it's called (and oddly re-spelt Jiu Jitsu) is a mystery to me. It's more or less based on a style of Judo, but why they didn't call it Brazillian Judo, is unknown. Maybe they needed a packaging name and judo was too well known

  • Jujutsu and jiujitsu are just two romanized spelling of the same name. Jujitsu is the older version of the spelling and jujutsu is the revised version of the spelling that sounds closer to the original Japanese pronunciation....So you're both wrong. Both are correct spellings since that word isn't native in English or Portuguese, jiujitsu or jujutsu can be used for both styles =] but "jujutsu" is the standard and international spelling in English for both styles.

  • You do realize in common day, Ju Jutsu usually refers to Japanese Oriented/Based Ju Jutsu, while when someone says "Jiu Jitsu" it commonly refers to BJJ.

Therefor if you say you do "Jiu Jitsu" when its actually the Japanese type and get pwned by it, then it shows you suck.

  • hes a chinese wushu sanda/sanshou fighter. ground work isnt his strong points but since he knows how to grapple, hes amazing at avoiding a bjj fighter from taking himdown

  • 1:32 perfect!

  • @HAPPYDRAGON6 true, cause he was an all american wrestler, truly well versed. just needs some submission game

  • @HAPPYDRAGON6 He's vietnamese

  • @JLai1969 He's Korean! JK, stfu...

  • @BLUDDYknucklez he's not korean, he's vietnamese, Lê Cung

  • @HAPPYDRAGON6 he is vietnamese!! just learns chinese martial arts!

  • @chonkhongduocnick yeah he is viet i meant sanda is chinese my bad for sounding abit confusing :P

  • @chonkhongduocnick Actually, he combined alot of different martial arts togethor to form what he does. Its not just " Chinese " ...read his book that he just came out with.

  • @HAPPYDRAGON6

where can we see a video of him doing that?

  • Many ppl say Cung Le should join UFC to fight better fighter...

WTH, Cung pls don't join UFC or they "arrange" so that u will lose to Kurt Angle,or Ray Misterio grandma?

So why UFC champions dont fight IKF, MMA, Sanshou, or any real competition?

Oh, UFC stand for Ultimate Faked Champions

  • BJ Penn, Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida are fake champions? I don't feel like Lesnar deserved a title shot but the UFC has some of the best p4p fighters in MMA and most of the top MMA talent is in the UFC. I preferred PRIDE but this is a fact. Cung Le is a great fighter and he should come to the UFC to challenge himself.

  • Jesus fucking Christ man, learn how to put damn sentence together. The UFC has great champs but I think if Cung Le fought someone like the Spider he would win because his standup is a notch above anyone in all of MMA.

  • i wanna see him fight Lyoto Machida

  • That fight will never happen.

Lyoto is a heavyweight, Li is a middleweight.

  • any thing is possible bro

  • Not in the MMA fight game. Unless they meet at a catch weight. Dana White would NEVER take a chance that one of his champions would get beat by a fighter outside of the UFC.

    So, never gonna happen.

  • correction- Lyoto is a light heavey weight ( I am sure you already know this) and Cung Le just has to jump to the next weight class. Anderson silva did it, why cant Le? I think it is possible for the fight to happen.

  • It's much more likely for Le and Silva to fight. Le has already said he will not fight at a "catch weight" or jump weight classes. He says his focus is on acting and defending his middle weight belt.

  • I'm hoping that Cung Le comes to the UFC period.

Cung is a natural MW so he is not likely to fight Machida even at a catchweight. I would love to see Cung fight Anderson Silva and Georges St. Pierre at Middleweight.

  • cung le vs that brazilian guy that just beat whats his face...???:P

  • cung le vs fedor....that wud be a gr8 match!;)

  • this will be a hard fight for cung le!

  • tru...but it will also be a tough fight for fedor!they r both awesum at what they do! :D

  • Comment removed

  • yea i think will be great fight h3h3 (=

  • yes sir papas!;)

  • What? Cung le never loss

  • Thats what i thought as well!

  • It'd be smart to throw in some old fashioned wrestling...none of these guys have any basic take down defense.

It's called a sprawl. Lower your center of gravity when there is a body lock or a shot for the legs.

  • OMG That german suplex was awesome

  • Sanshou the free sparring part of Wushu includes everything so in order to be a good sanshou player u have to be good in punch, kicks and throws.being promoted as an olympic sports some dangerous techniques has been discarded.what more can we add while using our body as a weapon.Wushu is considered to be the origin of other eastern martial arts definitely its technical content are much richer than other martial arts.

  • i want to start learning a discipline. i have always been interested in muay thai but have recently been talking to a friend that participates and has recommended san shou. what do u guys think???

  • fuck it dude, Learn them both. Being well rounded is the best thing.

But if I had to choose, id choose Muay Thai for the simple fact that I don't know that much about sanshou.

  • froggeronex1 is right also haha learn both is best=]

  • shanshou i mean muay thai what they are good at everyone knows knees and elbows i mean sanshou its not just kick boxing but their throws and take downs are incredible how is cung le wooping ass huh with sanshou not muay thai lol

  • i agree with Frogger0neXx. sanshou and muay thai compliment each other well. think of sanshou as an alternate muay thai where instead of front push kick, u have a stamp side kick. they both use shins, elbows, and knees and sanshou also has some really great takedowns. im in ur same position. im about to join a school that teaches jiu-jitsu, muay thai, and sanshou and i plan on maxing out in that gym.

  • san shou is for people that love to throw and do takedowns, but both have kicks knees punches and elbows

  • Fantastic!

  • the sport is kick boxing not a fuckin wrestling!!!

  • damn the guy at 2 minutes got owned!

  • Viet Cung...

    Viet Cung Le...

  • this guy would beat anderson silva

  • He is a really good fighter, but Anderson would fucking SMOKE Cung Le.

  • I'd love to see that fight.

  • Me too.

  • hes at 1336.9 almost 1337 or the chuck norris level

  • lol!

  • fedor vs cung le

  • Fedor by Anal raped to death in first round

  • cung le would kick ass in the ufc

  • What makes Cung Le great is not these takedowns, but the fact the opponent rarely ever takes him down. I knew he would be great even before his MMA start because he dominated his oponent like no other.

  • Nah undefeated as a pro? Doesnt that mean anything? Cung Le is good wherever he goes, I really want to see that match up though. That would be amazing.

  • Watch his fight against Shamrock and shut up.

  • Isn't Frank Shamrock a UFC legend or something?

Yeah Cung Le broke Shamrock's arm.

  • yeah shamrock is a legend, and you right Cung Le broke his arm

  • By legend if you mean somebody who hasn't been at the top of the game fr many years ... then yes.

Frank Shamrock was in the UFC over 5 years or more ago ...

That Le broke his arm (Frank I suppose you can call a grappler) is impressive to me. Still want to know more about him before I say that he could handle A.Silva though.

  • umm...not all great fighters are in the UFC if you didn't noticed it yet...UFC is just a company..its not about UFC..its really about the fighters...who gives a shit if frank shamrock was in the UFC over past 5 years ago...frank is also a great fighter...quit your hate talk...you must be on dana's dick!...like i said, its not about the mma company that promotes but more of the fighter you need to follow

  • Have you read my comment at all. It's true - Shamrock in UFC over 5 years ago, impressive that Le broke his arm Frank being a grappler.

Drink much haterade? So you think that Frank Shamrock is a reason why I shouldn't question his game?

My point about Frank being out of the UFC is that he's on the decline as a fighter - or maybe defending Cung so 'violently' you see Frank as in his absolute prime.

I do realise i'm on a Cung Le thread - and I don't dislike him or think he's rubbish.

  • cung le VS anderson silva

  • Cung le is the Pride of vietnamese American and oversea among around the world ,we are very proud of you Cung le ,keep it up , you are our heroes ,the invinecable legend of MMA

  • kung lee is the ideal fighter

    ]

seriously, he controlls all of his fights with his superior foot work and timing and in addition, he is so damn strong that he slams better then rampage jackson. he should be the standard to compare all competition fighters, with cung lee skill rank being an A+

  • No, to be the "standard to compare all fighters" you have to compete with the best. Cung le has not done that. If UFC fighters fought against competition like this they would look amazing too. And to say that he slams better than rampage is a travesty. Rampage has slammed legendary mma fighters. Cung le has slammed??? He has done this and that in leagues no one has ever heard of, put him in UFC the best fighting league in the world and I will pay to see it.

  • yeah, youl probably be paying 50 bucks on payper view to see him kill the shit out of silva.

  • shouldn't this guy be figthing Vitor at 185 pds

    in Affliction?

  • That would be an awesome fight!

  • Why is today the first time ive heard of him? Is he Kung Fu?

  • he started with some kind of vietnamese kung fu and later san shou as his main style. but he also learned a bit of muay thai and bjj

  • I like you idea PANDAPLUTTEN hehehe..just one throw game s over huh.

  • Cung le is undefeated!?!!?!?! what does he mean 2 loses??

  • hes also got a black belt in taekwondo.

  • cung les a fucking badass

  • Cung Le is the Vietnamse American heroes , gooooooooo Cung le , we salute his brave achievement

  • Nice vid, but please do something about the sound dropouts. Cung Le is a great fighter.

  • Cung Le is my dad's friend's nephew =D

  • I've been looking everywhere for Cung's Shidokan fights. Thanks.

  • wow nice throws @_@

  • I would pay 2 see Cung Le vs Mike Zambidiz they look about the same size

  • zambidis??? hahahaha

  • whats so funny?

  • so this is the guy who teaching anthony rumble johnson how to kick ass

  • lol cung le is like one of the only ppl in MMA that uses the side kick and i think its cuz hes a sanshou fighter. y dont more ppl use it? is it cuz muay thai doesnt teach side kick?

  • because only good fighters use the sidekick. georges st pierre uses it. muay thai teaches side kick as well, i kno cus i train in both muay thai and karate (now MMA). most fighters are afraid to use it cus they are afraid of the risk (that or they dont have the flexibility to deliver the power).

  • do u personally use the side kick? have u used it in some sparring or matches? i think thats a great kick that alot of ppl are missing out on.

  • yup, matches and sparrin alike, side kick is great. other underrated one is the front hook kick, i can pack a lot in it. i counter a lot of punches with a side heel to the cheeks with the front hook ^_^. against grapplers, i stick to elbows and knees and sprawl out when i need to

  • the sidekick is the most valuable weapon in ur arsenal when u fight. It's the most powerful and quickest kick u can execute. Not only is it powerful enough to knock the wind out of ur opponent, it can also push the way from u while u use the time to gain momentum and counter them back. Trust me on this, im a martial artist and ive knocked wind out of 4-5 of my friends and enemies =]

  • i think the straight teep is better...... its faster, can generate a lot of power without exposing yourself too much..... but then again any strike is good as long as you land it at the right place with the right power......

  • The teep is more of a pushing away kick. But the side kick is a strike and a kick. But whatever works better for you, you use. No single style thats perfect for everyone.

  • well yeah.... that is true......
