1100sqf house 500k with 50k mortg 3k payments + utilities :) for total of 3500-4000$ wow you can rent the same for 1100-1200 in the same area. This is buble, becasue true unemployment rate is 18%. we have 50% less listings than few months back, all we need is 1% increase interest, and ppl will start listing again but Nobody will be buying because of the new rules, it might stil ltake 1-2 years for price match with Niagara and Windosr :) you can get house there for 20-30k
Furthermore, Vancouver was just rated the most UNAFORDABLE city for housing in THE WORLD by the 6th Annual Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey. Toronto is not too far behind without all the nice scenery. I have my facts, thank you and the last person I will listen to is a real estate agent spewing garbage.
TREB's measure of 'affordability' is ridiculous. The main component of carrying costs is the interest on the mortgage. This makes it nothing more than an interest rate chart. Low interest rates do nothing to make homes more affordable. In fact, they run up prices as buyers who would normally be unqualified get into bidding wars. An affordable house is one that has a low cost, not a high one that keeps you a debt slave forever.

they jus wana sell houses, n dont care about any hardships u may face in the future if u buy now at the over inflated prices.
