I'm no metal head, but I do enjoy good heavy metal every once in a while. This was my first time hearing this song (the only other HOF song I've heard is Blood from Zion). One thing I've noticed about most metal bands is their members are often times several years older than musicians of other genres. My guess is because it takes more talent and practice to be a good heavy metal musician. Just my 2 cents.
@MrJowee your right, that's also why bands that start out young and ARE successfull (a lucky few) have looooong careers. just look at Metallica, megadeth, slayer, motorhead. there were tons of other metal bands that weren't very good that started out young and now no one knows them.
@Prechtl47 yes it is the matt pike signature first act lola 9 string its pretty much a six but with the bottom 3 doubled for a chorus-ish effect, this guitar is solid mahogany extra 1/2 inch thick... just brutal.

yea, that shit is wild, it's not full scale though, a few of them are bunched up like you would see on a 12 string. There are some scaled 9 string guitars out there, although not common, and Ibanez, Schecter, and more soon to follow, are launching 8 string madness across the globe. I think I will stick to my 6's and 7's.
Well obviously you need an electric guitar and an amp. If you're amp has shit built in distortion then you'l want a decent distortion pedal. Boss MT-2's give you a good metal sound for the reasonable price. But there are hundreds of different distortion pedals out there so you should do some good research.
As for the tuning, I'm pretty sure its in C standard (C F A# D# G C)
Thats pretty much all you need to be able to play this song.

I'm no metal head, but I do enjoy good heavy metal every once in a while. This was my first time hearing this song (the only other HOF song I've heard is Blood from Zion). One thing I've noticed about most metal bands is their members are often times several years older than musicians of other genres. My guess is because it takes more talent and practice to be a good heavy metal musician. Just my 2 cents.

@MrJowee your right, that's also why bands that start out young and ARE successfull (a lucky few) have looooong careers. just look at Metallica, megadeth, slayer, motorhead. there were tons of other metal bands that weren't very good that started out young and now no one knows them.

@Prechtl47 yes it is the matt pike signature first act lola 9 string its pretty much a six but with the bottom 3 doubled for a chorus-ish effect, this guitar is solid mahogany extra 1/2 inch thick... just brutal.

yea, that shit is wild, it's not full scale though, a few of them are bunched up like you would see on a 12 string. There are some scaled 9 string guitars out there, although not common, and Ibanez, Schecter, and more soon to follow, are launching 8 string madness across the globe. I think I will stick to my 6's and 7's.

Well obviously you need an electric guitar and an amp. If you're amp has shit built in distortion then you'l want a decent distortion pedal. Boss MT-2's give you a good metal sound for the reasonable price. But there are hundreds of different distortion pedals out there so you should do some good research.
As for the tuning, I'm pretty sure its in C standard (C F A# D# G C)
Thats pretty much all you need to be able to play this song.
