Swing / Lindy Hop Dance Routine - first time performance

The song is Bei Meir Bist Du Schon for anyone interested. With the exception of some of the ballroom stuff they did during the slowdown, he looked like a Lindy Hopper. In contract, you can definitely tell that she's a ballroom dancer, it's very difficult to un-learn the stiff high posture if that's her primary dance. Overall very well done, but I'd definitely tell anyone who's interested in learning swing to NOT learn at Arthur Murray or any ballroom studios.

@daniesigman its called swing not ballroom lindy hop and they are probably just doing the fundamentals which is basically the basis for both dance styles

Was this taken at an Arthur murray? And if so, when I was taking lindy hop classes they wouldn't let us do lifts and aireals. But loved the hard work put into it. He's talented!

spin turn in this dance is very ballroom at 1min 50sec and they take a back step in ballroom jive which is taught in the brittish standards

I'll agree with Donvinda. As a ballroom turned Lindy dancer you have to look at this. FIRST TIME PERFORMANCE. Dude has mad chops for the first time. I bet you were still doing boppy east coast the first time you had the stones to get up in front of people. GOOD JOB GUYS. For a ballroom studio, this was awesome.
