@Nathanrailfan Oh. OK. I had read somewhere a few years ago that Oakland was the last one. I wish I could remember where I read that. However, I stand corrected.
Man screw the dumb horn, but that is to sweet! I live in Toledo ohio and we have more trains than anywhere Ive been, but that street running is just to cool. believe me I live in the city and it takes alot to impress a guy who has seen it all RR wise and life wise. great video.
I've seen BNSF locals as far south as Fremont on the Niles Sub. I assume BNSF has trackage rights to the Warm Spring Yard to pick up and drop off autoracks from the NUMMI automobile plant, but I haven't found any documents specifically saying so.
I went to the Warm Springs Yard and caught the BNSF Warm Springs Local switching autoracks there - that's as far south as it goes on UP's tracks. I posted a new video titled "Autoracks in Fremont."
@seth4404 the BNSF Main Line starts in Bakersfield merging off the UP line, goes north into the San Joaquin Valley and jerks off west to Antioch, Concord, Pittsburg/Bay Point, Martinez and ends in Richmond. It crosses over the Union Pacific line on the border of San Pablo and Richmond. After the train leaves Richmond Amtrak/BART on the right side of the tracks they merge into Union Pacific.
Even though it's 'patched', love to see those green and black 'white face' SD40-2s!

What are those tall cars?
sdmacp 1 year ago
@sdmacp: The tall cars are autoracks, carrying automobiles. They can have 2 or 3 levels inside.

If I'm not mistaken. This is the last place in America where an "Active" RR shares the streets with vehicular traffic.

There is not many trains but at the same time it is not out of service or available only for short lines and local trains.

Where does BNSF have trackage to that requires the use of the Jack London line? Its UP correct?

Yes, Jack London line belongs to UP.
