first, it wasn't funny. it's one of those easy jokes like "black people like chicken" that were not funny the first time, nor the millions of times since.

second, it further perpetuates the stereotype, which is a frustrating stigma for the medium to overcome. in this day and age, and with our technology, why WOULDN'T our entertainment be interactive?

it's like people who think animation is just for kids, or comics are just for superheroes. these people have no imagination!
