  • Haven't heard this in forever! Thanks!!!

  • Still remember the awkward times with this song, but I did enjoy though. ^^

  • Hit #1 on the Billboard country chart for 1 week in Apr 1978

  • I Love Brenda Lee Webb !

    UNCONDITIONALY !

  • I can relate.........so hauntingly beautiful and I first heard it as an intro to

Art Bell's program. Oh-h-h it grabbed me. Per thebobwaters1 comment:

M.C. Escher painted a large eye and the reflection in the pupil is a skull........

want that one? Only kidding, but it's outstanding.

  • How I love the memory of these days .. Now at 60 my wife and I married for 36 years are still on our first date..May all mankind someday find the happiness I have known for 36 years....God bless you all.

  • thanks 2 Art Bell

  • Umm....is this the version from Best Always, by any chance?

    Crystal is a love <3

  • What is with the EYE shot? It is freaky. Video would be great without it.

  • I heard this song on the radio today.

It's stuck my memory some reason.I am getting really like this song.

  • Crystol, Loretta Lynn...... How much more talent is in this family?

  • @zepherford There's another sister, Peggy Sue. Her career was pretty short. She sounds far more like Loretta than like Crystal. Their brother, Jay Lee Webb, was also a musician.

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • I bought this LP back in the day and still have it....Its still in perfect condition and has a centerfold of Crystal that is amazing. She is still the babe and sounds as good now as she did back in the day. While their a lot of great singers in the business she is still has it and after all these years has that jaw dropping I can't believe beauty that can put woman half her age to shame....God has been good to her.

  • I Used to Hear Art Bell use this Song For Bumper Music, Its very Haunting to hear in the middle of the night.

She Is another Angel of Music.

  • @at39degrees God love Art and Crystal

  • Wow. Love this, and so appropriate for the times

  • I have this on vinyl ....

    love it love it ...

  • I had a cassette tape of hers when I was still at school, and played it till it stretched. I loved this song back then, and now in my forties, I have rediscovered it from an adult point of view, and think it's even more fantastic. She has an amazing, clear, sweet voice, and I also hadn't realised just how beautiful she was, and is! My goodness, what a talent. I'm going to go and look for some more of her music and rekindle my love of her music. Superb.

  • @lainey1k.... I had a similar experience. Loved her music in the '70-'80s but then work and family duties intervened. Once retired, I had the time to rediscover and rekindle my appreciation of her and her music. These clips on YT helped to facilitate that effort. Having attended 6 of her concerts over the last couple of years, I can attest that she is still the same beautiful, talented, and humble lady we have always known her to be. BTW, she performed in Ireland and Switzerland last year.

  • Dave here. @calio, lucky you. Sorry about your Mother, though. Anne Murray's "A Little Good News" would be a good followup to this song. First I want to listen to Crystal's "Midnight in the Desert" that she dedicated to Art Bell up there in the high desert. They're good friends.

  • One of my favorite songs while I was growing up. I still have this on cassette, hard to believe it's over 30 years old.

  • What a voice ...

    What a woman !!!!

  • the Desert"? because this sounds erily simular to that.

  • I'm up here talking to my friend, 1:00 in the morning and just flicking through the channels, when all of a sudden they flash this beautiful woman, across the screen. And an old familiarity finally came back to me. One i had forgotten since 1982. I said to myself, Its Crystal Gayle! Wow wat a beatidul woman I immediately searrched for her on yt. I must say that she is devistatingly beautiful. Hauntingly rather. And can som1 tell me, Did she sing the closing song for c2c AM/ArtBell "Midnight in

  • My wife and I cover this song. Just uploaded a video of it on my channel

  • I bought this album back in the 70's and still have it.Not only the are songs great but it also has a outstanding centerfold of her that is beyond beautiful. This album sold a milliion copies but its doubtful if many can be found in pristine condition. If you find it ,BUY IT.

  • soft silk kissing my ears sooo nice mmmmm.......

  • Beautiful Song ...

    Beautiful Singer ....

    Beautiful Woman .... :)

  • This is a different version than the one I heard on the album "Classic Crystal".

  • Crystal looks so much like Miranda Kerr in a lot of these photos!

  • Hey all listen to this song. I had this album. Also, Art Bell a radio person made this piece of music one his bummer music. thought it would match my profile picture. Time are going to get better. peace

  • Me and and my hubby fell in love listening to crystal gayle and we were only in our young 20's were now both in our 40's and it's never left us the special meaning her songs have for us....brilliant...the best...;-)

  • very nice sing.

  • She is great!

  • I remember when this charted ... was in 5th grade at the time.

  • cant wait to see crystal gayle in watseka.

  • Can't get better then this!

    Crystal...is the best!

  • Crystal Gayle will be performing in concert on Saturday July 10, 2010 at The Watseka Theatre Watseka IL.

  • Oh how I luv this song...

  • tHIS IS A REAL WOMAN AND SINGER.

  • Coast to Coast AM...with Art Bell. :D

  • Mentioning eyes: Could you imagine Crystal and Martina in the same room? I would melt into a pool of human, molten lava, destined to smolder forever. Then some other woman would walk by and comment that there's a mess here that needs to be cleaned up.

  • WOW...her voice is really pretty. One things I do not like about a lot of popular singers now a days is their voice..it is not "pretty" or full of soul...it does not envoke a deeper response. This voice....it makes you want to listen, it has heart to it. Really nice.

  • I used to hear this on Art Bell's late night show in the late 90s on am radio...he loved her...and I SEE WHY

  • What a beautiful woman!! Sigh.

  • Loretta lynn's little sister!!!!!!!

  • MoodyMoose is right... I have known Brenda aka Crystal for about 15 years now, and She IS one of the nicest, friendly, down-to-Earth people You could ever meet. She never forgets My birthday, I always get hand written letters in every b-day, Christmas or St. Paddy's Day... When She heard that My Mother had died, not only did Crystal send Me a very special card, but a nice and long letter, as well as a gift... In person, She is even prettier, and has the most gorgeous eyes, I have ever seen.

  • @caliokieboi I met her family when I was a teen. When I was totally in love with her. My first time on stage I sang in a competition to a standing only crowd I was only 15 and scared to death..I sang Crystal's music........in memory of my grandpa William Keller. and well I placed 16th out of 40 bands etc...and I will never forget that I sang on the same stage as Crystal Gayle, my first time in front of an audience. It was in Johnny's in Custer, MI. God Love You Crystal.

  • Crystal is awesome. I met her for a few minutes after a wonderful performance at the NC State fair. She shook hands with me and she had the tiniest hands!

  • OMG....I love her to death!

  • I have always Loved This Woman !!!

  • Wow heaps of memories. :)

  • So Beautiful.

  • what is this album?

  • my song... my dreams... my girl... my life

  • One of my favourite songs since I was very young!!!! Thanks for posting!!!

  • What a beauty!!

  • Very Good. I actually stood up and cheered.

  • one time, I had kept listening this song for almost 4 hours when I was driving.

  • Take us Home Crystal, were ready !

You gotta love it, B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L !

  • Good song for the ages. Very "Americana" and another tune that shows this singer's versatility.

And for those who might not have heard her singing in a jazz and blues "torch song" format, take a listen to the Tom Waits album "One from The Heart" that she collaborated with him in recording.

  • one of my favorite songs ever by the very beautiful Ms Gayle

  • a very gorgeous lady

  • What a GREAT song...

    Beautiful singing

  • She has been my favorite Classic lady all my life! I would love to see her live. Thanks for the song!

  • What a beautiful woman and passionate singer!

  • My guitar teacher showed me this. I love this song now!

  • this is her beast song great singer and very pretty ..........

  • I had a Crystal Gayle record (vinyl) as a child and it was one of my favourites. When I Dream is the best she ever did but this comes pretty high on the list.

  • Great song. Now I remember where I got the strumming idea from for one of my songs called " I''LL Find A New Love" I would play this song alot. Everysong on this Album of heres is good. Back in those days, usually only one or two of the songs on an album were any good.

  • she's just too pretty to sing this good...excellent work Miss Gayle!

  • wait a minute..is this a remake it doesn't like what is on my album. and what's on my album sounds wayyy better than this. love ya crystal !

  • She ist's great, somebody could say me,the name a melody like , this is a year for mexico? something like that, because i can't find it, thank you. I apreciate so much.

  • Luv Crystal Gayle and this song =) thanx 4 sharing...

  • There are/were many great female voices out ther but Crystal is tops. Agnetha of ABBA is also unique. Shania is catchy but no Crystal.

  • great song, this is my favorite by crystal

    gayle

  • Great song and nicely done by Crystal! I especially enjoy the melodic bass guitar lines!

  • hey this is a nice song--I had forgotten about it

  • wow! what a great song from loretta's lil sis.

  • Music like this should be re-awaken on radio. So much feeling and emotions. We so need to get honest with ourselves. bilbo2shire

  • very..very nice :)

  • Wow how beautiful is this woman and what a rich and rounded voice too.

  • i have listened to CG since I was a young boy. I am now 35yo and have since branched off to other genres of music. But I always come back around to CG. She takes me back to very fond childhood memories. She is one of country musics greats and this song is one of her best.

  • ever since i heard this has a radio bumper, loved it,went and found the cd ;)

  • O my love. Our peace of mind will be in our world! Heaven!!!!!!!Love and light!

  • GOOD JOB!!!

  • Always LOVED this song. Never heard this version. Thanks for sharing.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if Crystal is working on a new CD!

  • does she ever come to england? my mum bought me a cassette of hers 22yrs ago when i was about 7 and ive been hooked ever since. would love to take my mum to see her live.

  • 30th March, Bodelwyddan Castle Historic Hotel, Denbighshire, North Wales. That's what I found in a Warnerbreaks booklet but I'm sure she must be playing other dates around that time. :)

  • She is as beautiful and gracious in person as you would expect. I wish she would come out of retirement.

  • semi-retirement, that is.

  • Crystal Gayle is not retired...she's always on tour and released "All My Tomorrows" in 2003 and a new live concert DVD/album in 2006.

  • Yes, I realized that after I googled her. I just wish we would hear more of her! I see that she is going to be at the Georgia fair in the Fall. I will make that concert. I have not seen her since I lived in Texas and she performed in Ft. Worth. She used to come in the restaurant I worked in in Dallas. I always loved it.
