I suggest that the lines in the yantra are intended to represent astronomical lines of the earth, the equator, the tropics, the artci circle etc.

Sri Yantra is the mother of all yantras. It starts the process of involution for spirit. Many powers are unleashed as the Chela advances spiritually through hard practice. including healing powers.

To make a distinction with spiritual progress I use the word Involution instead, meaning to get back to God. When we meditate we still the mind by going inside. Through the material world in the other hand ordinary human beings experience Evolution. Our journey in the inner world experience Involution. Soul is perfect, never created, never destroyed.
