Fergie sold the song to you, you recorded it first, and then after she heard it, she changed her mind and (without telling you) recorded it herself. I downloaded your version on MySpace. Excellent! By the way, this acoustic version is good, but the recording level was too sensitive. So the sound level maxes out on parts of the song, which is too bad.
