Fresh rabbit manure is fine to use (but I'd still wash it well). Rabbit poo is a "cold" manure and can be sown directly into the soil, not harming plants.
Best thing to do is to grow the spinach next to any type of pea plant, which naturally add nitrogen to the surrounding soils, rather than use human manure.
thanks! can you really leave like only 2 leaves on the plant and it will continue to grow? i would think harvesting so many leaves would send the plant into shock and possibly kill it :o have you tried this though? how long did it take for them to grow enough leaves for another harvest? :]
I always thought that spinach was grown in very sandy soil, usually thats what i find in the spinach we cook (fresh) we have to be sure to triple rinse it, because of the sand
human pee is good for nitrogen too! I use it all the time

If you use manure for fertiliser cook your spinach. Manure will put harmful germs on your salad. I grow spinach to but oddly I am out of seed.

I agree on cutting the crap, spinach grows fine in good black dirt

why don't you compost the manure first and use that ? pure manure is like hammering a nail with an anvil. and risky for your health
