Hi! Great vid! I've got to get Track IR! It's so much better than the hat switch!
How do you open the throttle from idle in the VC? I can't click on mine and I have to open up the cyclic stick in 2D to move it? Any thoughts? Also, do you know how to snap open the throttle on startup whilst holding the starter switch at the same time?!
@gimmietheprize I use the Saitek X-52. The throttle in the DoDo is mapped to the RPM control in FSX, so I assign the throttle slider to the RPM control and that's how I increase or decrease the throttle in the VC. I have the trigger on the X-52 mapped to smoke on/off. This is the idle stop release.
@NRSwebmaster Thanks very much for the info. I have the Saitek X45, and I have assigned some buttons for the jet starter and the idle stop. Just got to learn how to fly it properly now! When bringing the 206 back to earth, I seem to descend a bit too quickly which results in a sudden stall and I drop dramatically. I think I have to slow it down a bit!! Thanks again!
@gimmietheprize I assign a button on the throttle as "Jet starter" (this forces me to reach accross my body like in a real helicopter) and as I hold it down and RPM cross 15%, I simply pop up the slider and immediately pull it back to the bottom. The idle stop clicks in and away we go. Remember to hold the starter until 58% or when the "Engine Out" light extinguishes.
Does anyone know if there's a boxed version or if you could buy it, save it onto a memory stick and then transfer it to a different computer because my computer with FSX my have a virus or spyware
If you have access to another internet capable computer, simply conduct your transaction and load it onto the thumb drive from there. The DoDo is an executable package.
I use Track IR with the Track Clip Pro clipped to my head set. It tracks your head movement and translates it into a smooth mouse movement. You can sit up, crouch down, lean in or back. It only takes a few degrees of movement to move the view ninety degrees.
Nice job on this video! I love flying this 206, I'm almost to the point where I don't have to look at the printed start up procedures but I always do just to be safe. Awesome video mate!
I have a relatively low end system. Consistently I enjoy low to mid twenties. In intensely drawn areas like in this video, it'll dip into the teens especially with high rate turns or head pans. Low and slow it is plenty smooth for precision work, but the video appears a little choppier when posted as well.

@NRSwebmaster How much was your Track IR and is it worth it? I heard it was like $200 which seems a little steep.
