  • awesome video, thanks!

  • Gary, we have been replacing many female xlr connectors with better ones, it seems some of the cheaper connectors we have expand and get loose, so we are replacing them. As we are doing this, we noticed a few of the older cables had bonded pin 1 (shield) to the connector itself with a short bridge type wire. Is this recommended or can we get away with avoiding that extra work?

    Thanks:) Love ur vid

  • thanks!

  • All these years and just now seeing that having the soldering iron stationary makes it so much easier. Thanks for posting. Great video.

  • thanks, just needed a little reinforcement.

  • Where did you find your solder station? I found several made by eclipse that I want as my old one is worn out. However, they are all in pdf format and I can't figure out how to order online. Also, what wattage iron do you use. I have to get a replacement tip but was just thinking of getting a new iron since mine is about 15 years old. If you don't mind, email me at soundtechpro@yahoo.com.
