It is Constitutional for the government to abrogate (change or void) contracts or treaties at its discretion. The Supreme Court has upheld its right to do so. I don't agree with this power in some situations but I do in this circumstance. Which would both be infringing on a persons freedom of religious expression, which is generally the basis for their beliefs on the sanctity of life and the abortion issue. Why should a person who finds it horrible, evil, and wrong to murder a child be forced to participate in that murder?
Obama said once that he "realizes that abortion is a moral issue" which is really saying nothing, however he shows absolutely no concern for the beliefs of those who believe it is an immoral act. He is not upholding and protecting our constitution. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if he could re-write the entire thing.

Which would both be infringing on a persons freedom of religious expression, which is generally the basis for their beliefs on the sanctity of life and the abortion issue. Why should a person who finds it horrible, evil, and wrong to murder a child be forced to participate in that murder?

Obama said once that he "realizes that abortion is a moral issue" which is really saying nothing, however he shows absolutely no concern for the beliefs of those who believe it is an immoral act. He is not upholding and protecting our constitution. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if he could re-write the entire thing.

Rush said we paid the money for AIG to "keep doing what they're doing"? WRONG, they're going to change their practices as dictated by Congress (no more credit default swaps for example, more regulation, more rules).

I guess letting top AIG executives visit a lavish spa, and then go on a luxurious hunting trip right after they had been bailed out would also be letting them "do what they do" to keep their business afloat, and we should all just quietly keep letting them "do what they do".

Insurance companies must live up to their financial obligations. Bonus's by Law are considered wages, which makes them financial obligations.
