hi mate, when you run out of ammo on this gun, the slide locks back, so how do you reload properly? because to put the slide back to its original position you have to pull the slide back, and if you do that wouldent it just go off shooting?

Hi mate

you just have to be carefull upon releasing the slide off the lock and guide it into the rest position. Like you say if you let the slide go under the tension of the spring, youll have 15 rounds going off without you wanting them too! haha

in the tutorial you said not to cock the gun, only pull the hammer back. so does that mean once you pull the trigger, even if you let off, it still fires?

yes thats correct, it will fire how many rounds there are in the magazine untill its empty, in which case the slide will lock back

lol, you just have to replace with a new loaded mag, pull back on the slide, and then the stop pin will deactivate and the slide will return to its rest position

mine is still going strong, i look after my pistol, if you do the same, youll be fine!

so regular cleans, and checking internals are fine and functioning correctly.

i havent used it in a while, but ive had quite a lot of mags through it!

well my gun has started playing up after 1 week of owning it :O

it fired fine til today when i noticed the blowback worked but then didnt hit the hammer hard enough to cock it :O i put in a new co2 n that helped but i dry fired it earlier with a new co2 in it and after about 30 shots it happened again is it a mechanical issue i can solve?

mmmmm, interesting.

it sounds like there maight be a problem with your piston assembly?

it could be a loose O ring or some other internal problem?

thats all i can think of, that might be the cause, you may have to buy a new piston assembly?

just a tip, when you take an old CO2 bulb out, it will still have a bit of pressure in it, so twist the knob really slowly, so it doesnt fire a long burst of CO2 into your piston, as that can damage it.

once the trigger is pulled and the cycle of shooting begins, it cannot stop.

but its all over in less than a second, so you cant react fast enough anyway!

yeah this is a low powered pistol.

but its only really made for plinking, and it fires Copper BB's, so it will always be inferior in FPS to say a pellet firing pistol.

what exactly do you want the air pistol for, plinking, hunting?, accuracy?

o yes, the accuracy is hindered quite dramatically, but the power is constant.

im not aware of that model, is it blowback? if so, im sure there would be a way to mod it! haha

nope, its a semi russian anics (skif a3000), single and double action, around 500 fps, and a 4.5 KG trigger pull pressure. 28 shot

i had to add a trigger shoe to make it more easy to pull lol

im sorry to say it but youve heard wrong, you still get your 60 shots out of it, which is about 4 mags.

it is still releasing the same amount of CO2 on each cycle, it just does it at faster rate of fire! (well a lot faser than the movement of your finger in semi auto mode!)

its not really that complex, but i do enjoy engineering, and if you have a good understanding of mechanics, then stuff like this is a doddle! its just imagining whats happening internally in your head, and then how you can manipulate that to work in a differant way!

well real pistols use a slightly differant system to air pistols, there blowback function works on the basis of the exhaust gases from the round just fired to cock the weapon again.

but im sure it can be done!

Lmao i love these guns ive been trying to buy one for about 2 years now :O

England is shit if you live in the south the only guns youl find really are air rifles n pellet pistols along with real firearms.

And since the VCRA a lot of places no longer stock the ppk/s its a shame as it is legally an air pistol no different to other umarex pellet guns. Ignorance and do gooders have most likely ruined my chance of owning one of these. :P

Even worse for airsoft its gone all to shit here.

@Greataardvark I strip it as far as I dare (so the slide, magazine, last round hold open, trigger, trigger guard, trigger mech, grips and safety are off of the frame), oil all the moving parts lightly and then wipe any excess off with a cloth. Then I re-assemble it and do a functions test. It will probably be OK if you pull the slide back and put a drip or two of oil on the hammer and around the slide.
