I have stood eggs on their ends within a few hours of when the equinoctial point happens., but.. dude,,, it has nothing to do with you're concept of Midnight... 12:00am or whatever. it all depends where on the planet you are at any particular time.

Totally erroneous... You,, your eggs,, your clock or any clock for that matter has nothing to do with when an equinox is at it's equinoctial point, (classically, the vernal point and the autumnal point) By extension, the term equinox may denote an equinoctial point. And that point does not pay any attention to the arbitrary confines of humans or digital clocks. In other words unless you think you are the center of the universe, you're full of sh!t.
