Umm can someone explain why this is a good ending? Yes the boss fight was pretty good story wise(gameplay wise not so much due to you just blocking and healing) and the ending did have me up until Claus commits suicide. Really? You finally gain your mind back and you commit suicide? Then the world ends, but everyone lives? And no one cares that no one can see? I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to dislike this ending until someone can tell me why this is good and not in a "SHUT UP ITS GOOD" way.

Altough I love this game for all the reasons the other do, like the tragic story, the humour, the breaking of the 4th wall, the symbolism, the variety of the pixel art, etc I still think that it could have been made much better plot-wise. It just feels incomplete! What about the WhiteShip? Hummingbird Egg? The doorknob? Porky's background (his time travels)? why we didn't get to see the Dragon after all that, or have a decent final showdown?
I will say, the very end seemed kind of....cheap. I kept thinking 'Y'all really want to thank me? Turn on the damn lights! Let me see you. Let me see what happened, 'cause last time I looked the oceans were literally on fire!'.
Everything leading up to that was beautiful, though.

I even held down the frame skip button for quite awhile, seeing if something happened after... perhaps just stupidity on my part? Or, missing ending parts? I don't know, but I know that what I had seen before confused me.
@BitchcakesMcDoogle Before the fan translation was finished I watched the ending on Youtube without thinking that I'd ever be able to play it English, the video I saw cut off at about 24:20, when I finally got to play it in English I just stopped playing before the wrap up thinking that was it, the game just decided to end on a note 30 times darker than Earthbound. I still don't know just what the fuck happened.

I played Smash Bros Brawl before this. I remember saying how much of a coward Lucas was, how he should grow a pair and how it's said that he's being carried by other characters, and how Ness shouldn't have needed to take the bullet for him.

I think he was dead when Porky found him. You keep seeing the Magypsies referencing that they couldn't feel evil nor good being passed on to the dragon. Something was going down. It leads me to believe thanks to the reconstruction of Claus that he couldn't remember right away. It makes it even more sad.
@Harnikawa Did you play/watch through the rest of the game? Those were characters from the game thanking you for playing basically. "Ryan" is the name of metroidrage presumably. It asks you your real name early in the game.
lucas is the most legit video game character which is why hes my main in brawl (second to captain falcon ofcourse) and he powns especially as claus skin
They could totally make a mother 4. The 7 needles could have been some kind of fail safe for something, and shaped the world in a way where, across time and space, the protaganists meet each other for the last fight.

He was still alive when Hinawa was killed, in fact she saved them from the draco than Claus goes to avenge his mother but he is killed in the process, than Porky takes his body and corrupts him, need to get your facts together man.
Yes, I have played the game. By the way the game implied it, Claus was just knocked out and was severly injured. It never said that Claus died after his encounter with Mecha Drago. True Porky could do a lot of things, but i doubt very much that he could bring back the dead.

1. He views himself as a monster and wants to rid himself for the crimes he commited
2. He's in a lot of emotional and physical pain (due to being rebuilt like Porky's chimeras)

I think he was dead when Porky found him. You keep seeing the Magypsies referencing that they couldn't feel evil nor good being passed on to the dragon. Something was going down. It leads me to believe thanks to the reconstruction of Claus that he couldn't remember right away. It makes it even more sad.

@Harnikawa Did you play/watch through the rest of the game? Those were characters from the game thanking you for playing basically. "Ryan" is the name of metroidrage presumably. It asks you your real name early in the game.

They could totally make a mother 4. The 7 needles could have been some kind of fail safe for something, and shaped the world in a way where, across time and space, the protaganists meet each other for the last fight.

Damn this is a game that was made by pure heart.
Man in today's fast pace production I usually see about 25-100 people for one stupid category like IQR testers or something (If you played Scott Pilgrim the game you know what I'm talking about (in the credits)).

He was still alive when Hinawa was killed, in fact she saved them from the draco than Claus goes to avenge his mother but he is killed in the process, than Porky takes his body and corrupts him, need to get your facts together man.

Yes, I have played the game. By the way the game implied it, Claus was just knocked out and was severly injured. It never said that Claus died after his encounter with Mecha Drago. True Porky could do a lot of things, but i doubt very much that he could bring back the dead.
