Really love the videos. Thanks for taking the time to help out. Could you please do a video on how you adjust a two stroke carb. One that is out of wack. High and low speed and idle speed. And do you do by ear or use tach.

LOL. This is true with snow blowers. They bring them in and say oh it ran last month. You take the carb apart and it has green varnish from 10 year old methanol fuel lol. The smell that comes from methanol fuel makes your head hurt. I'll take old ethanol fuel over methanol any day. Sure the carb is corroded and ruined but at least it doesn't smell so bad.

Nothing irritates me more then when somebody tries to play Mr. Mechanic and brings me something in pieces or mis-assembled.

@backwoodsctryboy I find it funny when they tell me it ran a few days ago and that they haven't touched it when i pull the bowl and there is no needle in the seat or anywhere to be found in the carbueretor. LOL

I agree with you. It's extremely irritating to be lied to about something like. Then you spend extra time chasing down the real problem. Plus you may pull one in thinking it's going to be a quick job and then get into it, figure out the lie, and the next thing you've spent 3hrs on what you thought would be a 1hr job.

@backwoodsctryboy Absolutely. When I do my "own work" I get paid by the hour. At my company, they charge by the job.  In most cases it pans out and everything is okay. in some cases, not so much.

@Pinion512 i contract my labor out....the company i work for gets 70 per hour.....i bill 35 dollars per hour......somedays you bill 20 hours in an 8 hour day and somtimes less than 8.....u win some you loose some........i def would not be in this business if it did not make me a comfortable living.

@backwoodsctryboy I used to work for a Deere dealer that did what you do. It worked out pretty good. I'm with you on the making money part. If I can't do this and make a decent living I'll go and do something else.  So far it's been panning out pretty good. I've been turning wrenches since 1994. There have been a few tough years but most of those have been more for my overspending than not making a good paycheck.

Yep ive had the same problem with electronic repairs, people lie, why?

It quickly becomes obvious they were talking utter crap, some people just lie for no reason and it pisses me off, when i detect this i just dont try to repair to teach them a lesson.
