Fantastic film. But its called "2001: A Space Oddysey," not the other way around. And in my opinion as a 29-year-old, "2001: A Space Oddysey" is the" 2001: A Space Oddysey" of "our generation." Still, "Moon" definitely rocks.

I wish you guy's would stop saying "our generation". I'm an older generation and this movie is also made for me since I enjoyed it. Even people in their 60's+ can still enjoy current movies.

just bought Moon today on blu ray, and it was AWSOME!!! A new classic in my collection. Video and audio quality is great also, it is a great film to test a new home theater.

When he is talking to himself and fighting himself there were actually two people in that scene. Sam Rockwell and Robin Chalk. They made Robin look exactly like rockwell. Don't believe me check out the IMDB page for it see who plays Sam Bell clone.

-Great review! glad to know there are hard core supporters of quality scifi! as I start production on my own no-budget epic.have to admit "Moon" inspired me to act on an old idea.

-Regarding models, I was building miniatures for low budget films up to 2002. Some directors like models better for realism. CGI doesnt fool everyone.

Quite major inaccuracies for such a high quality review.

Overall though I liked the review, the reviewers, and I totally agreed on the bluray and movie scores, but seeing as they praised it so highly, they really should have been more respectful to Duncan Jones (the writer/director).

I've watched it 5 times now and there are several little goofs or bloopers which are slightly annoying. Like a film crew member being accidently in shot in one of the video messages.

However, it is an absolutely incredible film! Stunning acting by Rockwell, stunning plot & storyline and stunning music & effects. I'd even go as far as saying that its one of my favourite's of all time...

Unfortunately I don't think Sony are very keen on pushing it for the Oscars..

I believe you guys may be wrong about Kevin Spacey's desire to do the film. In an interview with "baby Bowie", he said it wasn't that Spacey didn't want to do the movie, but instead, due to the tiny budget, he suggested they bring the finished film to him so he could do the voice-over after seeing the film & Sam's performance. The impression I got was that Spacey was very interested in doing the voice-over work; it was just the budget & time constraint that had him wait until it was completed.

What I took from the statements of Baby Bowie was that Spacey wanted to see the film and then and only then would be do it.

Either way, I watched the movie yesterday and LOVED it. Even though I had already knew the "secret" before watching, I still had tears at the end.

This is one great movie! And the DVD came with the short film by "baby Bowie", called "Whistle" which was very interesting.  I recommend it to those who haven't seen. It's only a half hour long.

I love ur reviews guys but u were wrong about something, they still use minatures today for several big budget films (batman begins as christpoher nolan doesnt use cgi unless he has too for a particular scene,

I watched Moon after i watch this review. I didn't like the movie untill the end. Then i understud everything. I give the movie a 11,5/10. The movie was grate! I especially liked the music.

Great Review!! I've been wanting to pick up Moon for awhile but don't have the extra cash. I know you probably don't take review recommendations but The Assassination of Jess James by the Coward Robert Ford is such a great film. The acting, the cinematography, the music everything just comes together to make a great character piece.

I definitely enjoyed MOON. Though, I have to admit that I wouldn't recommended it to anyone. Everyone's got those friends who only enjoy movies with cheap jokes or ridiculous 'splosions. I can see the slower pace of MOON really getting to them.
