  • Thats fast. were hoping a time somewhere mid to low 5's.

do you have any idea how fast your friend's truck would run?

  • I asked Tommy and he thought his best was about the same as mine, 5.19 I don't think his speed was quite as fast as mine. That was with his old engine, which was a 496 with peanut port heads.

What all have you done to your Blazer. I am somewhat of a Blazer nut. My oldest son just sold his 74 and we have 2 72's a 76,and just bought a 75.

My youngest son has a 74 primer gray pickup, if you go to Pismo much you have probably seen him over there, pretty fast also!

  • the blazer is actually my uncles. im only 16 but i know pretty much everything thats done to it

    our motor is 496 also

it has stock oval port heads,They aren't the peanut ports though, i think my dad told me they are the early 396 heads, we have an eagle rotating assembly with flat top pistons, we have a little hydrualic roller and holley 950 with a single plane manifold

it has T400 tranny likned to a 205

we go to pismo a lot but i can't remember seeing it

  • what time did it run

  • This was the fastest that it ran with my old engine, it ran 5.194 at nearly 62 MPH, street tires , all motor.

I watched your vids with the silver truck with 496 at Pismo. That truck belongs to a good friend of mine and is pretty fast. There are almost 2 dozen of us in our town with pretty fast trucks. Good Job!
