There has not been any Nuclear Weapons in Iran confirmed until now, and everything done there, that has been inspected, is legal including the enrichment.
and to be completely honest...
If I was Iran, I'd would be funding insurgents along the border, because I wouldn't like the concept of the world's most powerful army at my doorstep, when that country's leaders and commentators, are vilifying Iran and calling it "The axis of evil."
Also, the countries in the Middle East do not like the fact that we have a sense of Nuclear hypocrisy when talking about nukes in the middle east.
Israel is the only nuclear-armed country in the world that does not allow inspections of it's facilities. Also, Israel has never officially admitted to having Nukes, meaning that if Israel wanted to they could develop as many nukes as possible. All this happens as Israel continues to deny other nations of Nuclear technology.
Regardless of whether or not we think that Israel is right in these actions, this only makes relations between us and Iran (and other countries) more difficult, as it more and more leads them to believe that Americans are hypocrites.
ANYWAYZ!!!! Im leave for Infantry School in Sep. following in my granddads n dads shoes..... U.S.A.!!!!! I wish north korea would get brave. BRING Gen. MacArther back!!!
How about we stay out of the affairs of foreign nations, pull out of the UN and NATO, stop foreign aid, secure our own borders, stop policing the world and turn foreign policy to: trade with all, alliances with none?
Oh and remember that Joe Biden said in Oct of 2008 that there would be a crisis -- a generated crisis -- to test Obama within 6 months of Obama becoming president. I would say we are right on schedule. Just look up JOE BIDEN CRISIS right here on youtube to see for yourself. How did he know? He knew because this has all been planned way ahead of time.
Yeah, everything has been planned ahead of time, it's all just a big game; yeah, by THEM, you know, those people.. yeah... so what is the point of thinking about a nuclear capable Iran or the threat of North Korea if it is all just stage acting huh? Why do you care?
Seriously, you can think everything is a game or a dream or whatever, until you get hit by a bus. Then it is suddenly real.
Oh and another thing. We can't tell Beijing what to do. They press the sell button and the dollar collapses. So what if their dollar holdings go down. They were net sellers of US treasuries last month. The writing is on the wall for the dollar anyway. Oh and on nukes, either everyone should have them or no one should have them.
I've answered this already; "...if they start talking about suddenly divesting our dollars (which would hurt them a lot too; since suddenly dumping so many dollars will see the price go down and their own dollars lose a lot of value as they sell)..." Foreign reserves are a huge % of their GDP they can't afford to lose such tremendous value. You sell something off slowly, so you retain the value of what is left. They want the dollar strong until they don't have power to effect it anymore.
Ask yourself this question. How much would it cost to defeat the united states militarily? Way more than the value of those reserves correct? China could defeat us economically for the bargain price of those reserves if it came down to it. If they were to crash the dollar in such a way it would politically destabilize the U.S. government. No, Washington doesn't call the shots, Beijing does. He who has the gold makes the rules.
You people just don't get it. This is all contrived. From the CFR's own documents there is no better way to control a population than war or the threat of war. The best policy would be to mind our own business. Forget all the propaganda that we are somehow more responsible than any other country around the world.
Our interfering with the affairs of these countries is exactly what will get one of our cities obliterated. I used to buy into all of the fearmongering propaganda too. We would be much safer and more secure if we would just mind our own business. This kind of policy would be really bad for the profits of the military industrial complex, however.
Who ARE you to even be posting videos on this matter? Are you some kind of expert? You look like a college kid to me. Save your commentaries for your buddies. We certainly don't need some new inexperienced arrogant snot nosed kid spouting off, we have plenty of idiot journalist as it is. Sit down and shut your face son. Let dad handle it kk? Good boy.
I have worked as a congressional aide in two Congressional offices, worked as a Legislative Director for a Washington based advocacy organization, was a 2008 Fellow in International Diplomacy, served two years under fire in the Middle East on counter terrorism operations, trained to protect US Diplomats in Iraq, and have visited dozens of countries, including a formal visit to the EU Parliament where parliamentarians sought my advice on foreign policy issues. Now what the hell have YOU done?
I assume that you are trying to equate the concern for nuclear arms proliferation to gun control laws domestically. I adress that at length in my video "Cars, Guns, and Arms Control". Boiled down, it is simple; criminals with weapons are dangerous; law abiding people are not. Rogue states are dangerous, democracies are not.
The great fallacy of your argument is that America is in a position of weakness, any bullying america does is going to come back double.
Threaten China, and they'll stop buying treasury bills, which will both possibly bankrupt the US and quickly give them enough dollar reserves to destroy its currency at their whim.
You'll never get a UN resolution for a blockade of Iran, and acting unilaterally again would destroy any good will Obama may have generated.
Im going to repeat this for the third and last time; China damages itself if it sells off a lot of dollars because if they flood the market with dollars the value of what they still hold goes down. Ergo; they do NOT want to talk the dollar.
Second; you can't have it both ways; we cannot be both "bullying" AND in a position of weakness. Pick one. I say China would squeeze North Korea before they see us give nuclear missiles to Taiwan. China already gave nukes to North Korea, how is this bullying?
No, it's like saying "I don't want to shoot you because the bullet will then bounce back and hit me in the head". Do you have any idea what the amount of dollars they hold is as a percentage of their national GDP? If they lose the value of the majority of their foreign currency reserves; especially if accompanied by a trade disruption as it likely to happen in a rupture with the USA, their entire economy evaporates overnight and the next day they have a new government in Beijing.
One more thing; North Korea would not have nukes if China did not find it acceptable. It is as simple as that. They could easily have stopped it, but they sold supporting technologies and sat back and allowed North Korea, still dependent on them, to develop this technology. This is because it suits their purposes to do so.
North Korea and Iran are invited observers at the meetings of the Shanghai Cooperation. If nuclear weapons are a threat out of the middle east, then israel should be disarmed or their neighbours, whom they have constantly threatened, should be allowed to have them in order to defend themselves. The missiles that North Korea has that may be able to reach Hawaii do not have nukes on them. We should stop threatening them and allow their neighbours & allies to handle them.
Saying that being part of the Shanghai group makes a state friendly is like saying Mussolini and Hitler were peaceful because they were part of an international organization called the Axis.
I personally have a much bigger problem with a fascistic madman like Kim Jong Il having a nuclear weapon than a democratic state like Israel. Democracies don't suddenly attack one another like dictatorships do. Similarly, I am not worried about India, but am concerned about Pakistan.
I never said that being a part of the Shanghai Cooperation makes a state friendly. Quite the contrary is true as a matter of fact. They want us OUT of S.E Asia and will do everything and anything to get us out. Our goal should be to be good neighbours and trade partners - PERIOD. They can handle their business. They've been doing it for thousands of years without our "help".
We should be worried about India because they are worried about our new and improved cozy relationship with Pakistan. Democracies are prone to attacking one another, I would think, because they're mob ruled unlike our Constitutional Republic. But then we & Israel do attack others, don't we? Kim Jong Il, if we believe what we're told, is a nutcase. That said, what more can he do when we constantly threaten to pull an Iraq on him? Same goes for Iran. We and Israel threaten and they do what?
Korea is threatening Hawaii. Come on people, dosen't anyone see where Obama is on the side of evil. He's made this all possible because of his pandering of the oppressive nations.
Biggs already responded to this (and I agree with him);
"If they start talking about suddenly divesting our dollars (which would hurt them a lot too; since suddenly dumping so many dollars will see the price go down and their own dollars lose a lot of value as they sell) then we say something simple; "If North Korea develops nuclear missiles capable of hitting American cities; then Taiwan will develop nuclear missiles capable of hitting yours".
Well, we have more leverage than you realize. For example; if they start talking about suddenly divesting our dollars (which would hurt them a lot too; since suddenly dumping so many dollars will see the price go down and their own dollars lose a lot of value as they sell) then we say something simple; "If North Korea develops nuclear missiles capable of hitting American cities; then Taiwan will develop nuclear missiles capable of hitting yours".
.. what do you feel is the best diplomatic response/resolution to the 100 of thousands of Palestinians being murdered and treated live animals in Palestine for the last 40 years or so ? again thats whats great maybe if President Obama could here what you had to say he might just do that. :) .. then the people could really take over and have a fight thats fair and even. (only the government is allowed to have guns in Iran)
Well, I'd have to say that as far as the Palestinians are concerned, you are right; they are being murdered and treated like animals... mostly by their own leaders. I remember being in East Jerusalem and hearing stories about shopkeepers that had opened their shops on a PLO declared strike day. They were dragged into the street at night and battery acid poured on their faces until they died.
Frankly, until they rise up against the mafia that is leading them now, and stop declaring the purpose of their government is to destroy Israel, but instead start to build a country; things are going to look very bad for them. They have blamed everybody for their plight, but they have an opportunity now to build themselves a free country if they only want one. Israel is not their problem; their leaders are.
.. what do you feel is the best diplomatic response/resolution to the 100 of thousands of Palestinians being murdered and treated live animals in Palestine for the last 40 years or so ? again thats whats great maybe if President Obama could here what you had to say he might just do that. :) .. then the people could really take over and have a fight thats fair and even.
