"Curtailed" the key phrase is. No one can stop smuggling even Saddam could not do it totally. However Iraqi and US forces do not care about stopping smuggling, only care when it directly affects them like guns. I will try to watch the vid when I have time.
Would you think of the morals or the legal system when your super poor, get fucked over everyday by foreign soldiers and a puppet administration, and just want to make a decent living so you can feed your family and put a roof over your head. If were entering a recession, what do you think Afghanistan and Iraq economies are like?
With all the political stuff aside, I think that anyone (even myself) could rationalize becoming involved in an illicit activity when money is involved. My question is does that make it right.
The drug trade has many consequences which always end up outweighing the short-term benefits of putting money in one's pockets. When one relies on that as a source of income, then I can assure that no matter what the future political climate may be, selling drugs will always be the means to making quick $.
0:53. I think some of the drugs may have entered that camel's bloodstream.
