Reason is because Gallas's contract ends next year (I think) and there has been no talk or effort to negotiate a new one with him. Logically he would be the one to exit as he is getting older and has made it clear he wants to go back to France and end his career.
Toure has won titles here, taken us to finals and you say he isn't fit to tie Gallas boots someone whos biggest achievement here was being stripped of his captaincy. Toure has been slowly coming back to his best and his performance at old trafford was world class.

Oh cos Thierry's one good season at barca where he's been pushed out wide, Viera's every other season form in italy and anelka whos just managed to find his feet top flight defo overshadows the achievments at Arsenal. Those three players would tell you themselves the peak and high point of their careers were at the mighty Arsenal which is why at different points since they've left they've all hoped to come back with their tails between their legs and Viera still might, you mug!

am a dutch arsenal suporter.
i also suport ajax. i ve watching vermaelen for years and believe when i say he is not top 4 material. every ajax suporter i know was shocked when they heard about him going to arsenal. they were very happy though for receiving such a high amount for a player of his kaliber.

I agree, but it seems- I'm not quite sure- that Toure will be heading in January to the African Nations Cup, so he thought that even with the current defense base, we might need yet another CB. I would like to see Cana with us but it seems a faint hope.

he is 6'1 and i have watched him many times over the past year, he is growing into a top player, he is very strong, especially from what i seen of him @ belgium, he commands that team.

Everyone says he doesn't have the physical presence but for someone who is apparently too small, he scores his fair share of headers. Rather than argue football knowledge, why doesnt everyone just wait and see what he is like? Wenger doesn't spend £11m on anyone, so he must be pretty good.

I think Gallas will be on his way hence why a left footed CB has been brought in. Vermaelen will be a good aquisition imo. If Ade goes then the money should be used to sign Dzeko, he is quality. Not too keen on Chamakh as i'm not impressed from what i have seen of him on here but he is held in very high regard in France and Morocco so you never know. Lorik Cana would be awesome in def. midfield and my no1 choice but Melo could also be quality. just hope its an established, experienced player.

Reason is because Gallas's contract ends next year (I think) and there has been no talk or effort to negotiate a new one with him. Logically he would be the one to exit as he is getting older and has made it clear he wants to go back to France and end his career.
