  • Keep trying to pull people out of Christianity. Your tactics are sly, smart, fetching. But, you fail to see the bigger picture. You fail to understand your depth of how far you are from reality. You say Christians don't live in reality, when we are the ones who believe that this earth was created. Atheists are the biggest hypocrites in the world. Did your breakfast just appear in fron t of you this morning? Matter of fact, how did you get here? Did you just appear? Wow. Incredible.

  • Sounds good and all. But you fail to understand that no one is good, no not one. You cannot save yourself. We will all die, regardless of our new discoveries and our knowledge. We will all fall to sleep and will have to answer to the one who made us. You cannot escape this. You just can't. I like how this video says myths of the past and letting them go. Yea,like love, honesty, forgiveness, selflessness, yea lets put those aside. If we all do that, watch out. You atheists are brilliant.

  • @jaythecommish Why not keep those values and abandon the gods? Just look at all the extremists and radicalists and people who've casted genocide all in the name of their God. You're telling me that was loving, honest, forgiving, and selfless to slaughter whole hordes of human beings for God? How is that a good thing? I say keep the values. Put aside the gods and myths. You can still be a decent person without having to believe in millenia old fables.

  • lol he smacks alot

  • Thanks, @Evid3nc3, for yet another great vid.

I've been having rather depressing experiences trying to discuss with persons who allow their lives to play out upon faith-based epistemologies. I am coming to the disheartening conclusion that faith is worse than war because with faith there can be no reasoning; no negotiating; no compromise; no peace. :-(

  • VFX can bring down christianity itself with all the dispickle actions he has done

  • @jmm1233 If you think he's bad, try looking up shockofgod. Biggest christian troll, ever.

  • @RedCrescentDemon That guy is nothing more then a recycled version of William Lane Craig

  • @xIFORGOTTOPULLOUTx He's just a "priest" trying to make that money. Pastors and priests make millions evangelizing the bible in their selective churches. It's all about the money.

I will say this much though. I like the fact that some of these churches offer aid to the homeless and needy. Even if its a ploy to indoctrinate theminto their interpretation of faith, it's still a heartfelt thing to do.

  • @RedCrescentDemon You are naive. About the money?? Are you kidding me? You cant be serious. Yes, there are those who promote false prosperity doctrines who are in it for the money, but how is that different than Mr. Dawkins writing books and making his millions? They are both false and running to the banks with their money. Good for them.

  • @jaythecommish True. It's all a business. So many people have successfully turned the bible into a moneymaker. It's just a business lol.

  • Yay! XD Oh man.. I so used to debate with venomfang a couple years ago(really getting nowhere), and totally just thought about him the other day since listening and watching your vids, Evid3nc3.

I'm excited to watch this vid now, and your further vids. Very refreshing analysis' :D

  • this is brainwashing and manipulating all the time it says they offer a new world all the time they say they have proof instead they have nothing...

If having money, cars, computers, material things makes u happy and think you have succeeded in life think of what will you do with them when youre dead ?

  • @lionchez people who are sure in what they believe and which think they are on the right path don't hide half of their faces like this guy on the video. watch at the way he acts like a drama queen when talking and watch a religious person talking ... atheists irritate me with their arrogance and overpride

  • @lionchez Most atheists are arrogant and do seem to condescend heavily on christians for their beliefs. But at the same time, many Christians will opt to attempt to shove their interpretations and beliefs down your throat. So I can sympathize with both sides Through my experiences, this seems to be mostly true. But I don't think this dude is arrogant or prideful at all.

  • @lionchez The problem with America especially is that, for people who believe this is all that life's about. The attainment of these things. They live shallow, empty lives. Afterwards, they look back and see why they're not happy so psychiatrists and doctors will be quick to diagnose it as "depression" Then they take pills which cure it, but then lead to other problems which make them take more pills that do the same. Rinse and Repeat.

This is the real brainwashing going on.

  • That is a beautifully crafted video with some great ideals. Thank you for your science oriented well spoken ideas!

  • fuuuuuuuuuck god

  • Love this. I want to be a part of it!

  • thank you so much for making this beautiful video.

  • Evid3nc3, your videos are awesome, but as an atheist myself, I can't agree with this one. I fear theism, and although I don't often betray that outwardly, inside I am irked, vexed and incredibly frustrated at theists who smugly shrug off reason and logic and that is because I view it as nothing less than an existential threat to humankind.

  • What's disturbing, is knowing that people like VenomFangX will look at this video and declare it evil.

  • @BigLundi "What's disturbing, is knowing that people like VenomFangX will look at this video and declare it evil."

    Words!!!

They have raped the word "atheist" and most of the religious people look at it as if it's a disease.

They have gang raped the word "Truth" inside out, to the point that it's lost its meaning.

They have called us "fools" so often that the word makes me proud because it sounds like it's separating me from their bullshit.

The word evil has no meaning thanks to these nuts.

  • @saintpine whew, wow. Calm down big guy.

  • As usual, wonderful video Evid3nc3.

  • I think this is going to make theists think more like you're trying to convert them and when they're all converted, you will introduce them to the devil or something lol. I think the best way to deal with theists is to point out the flaws in their beliefs.. There's no possible way you can ask them nicely and they will accept it.

  • Love the CID and using boards of canadas "dayvan cowboy".

  • I am going to download this and use it elsewhere!! (crediting Evid3nc3, of course!) I believe it will have impact.

  • @darthelghastN7 yes, you are right , that was a very obvious error, thanks for pointing it out. Some times I wish I could turn my brain off. It has been six or seven days since I last slept. Its frickin 2:40 am now and still not sleeping. Peace!

  • I am wondering, do you know of any organisations which allow activities for secularists/atheists in europe. Just want to get into some organisation. Do you know of any?

  • Your best!

  • what a laughing stalk VFX is

  • Well done. I am a Nichiren Buddhist. We do not have a Deity but rather are focused on the Law of Cause and Effect as being the foundation for all that is in the Universe. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

  • Wow. This is beautiful, Evid3nc3.

  • @ReligiousFiction

    Thank you so much!

  • VFX honestly needs to get... idk soooo many thoughts come to mind:D Exyremist muslim type.

  • woah?

  • I am a Humanist and proud of my beliefs.

  • The problem is, evidence and reason stand against faith, so yes, we *are* "taking down Christianity".

  • @jursamaj I would think it to be the proper accident of reason, not it's intent.

  • Somehow I overlooked this first time through your uploads. Great stuff!

  • well said!

  • well said!

  • Good job

  • Why would atheism be negative? Ignorance isn't blizz, knowledge is freedom.

  • This is beautiful. Thank you so much. If only more theists saw what wonderful people atheists CAN be, they'd pay more attention. I disapprove of the "morality" argument. What is morality anyway? If only people realized how closer we would all become if we could openly discuss our philosophies without being spat upon...The world would be a much more beautiful place. *Sigh*, if only.

  • @AMillionThingsToBe

The issue is that people never see the good stuff. Some atheists paint theists in a light cast by the Westboro Baptist "church", or campus ministry crazies condemning everyone that passes by to hell, whereas the most outspoken atheists are people like Christopher Hitchens and, on Youtube for instance, the Rational Response Squad, and these are people who've not been known to have a soft hand or balanced tongue when dealing with theists. Everyone needs to chill.

  • YES, I believe in POSITIVE ATHEIST. I think Denmark and Sweden is, as for it's OWN PEOPLE ONLY and therefore are the MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE ON EARTH. Not racist, but religion is a WASTE OF TIME. It controls PEOPLE, it makes them SPECIAL because it has RULES which EXIST because they are NON_EXISTENT.

They come from nowhere, it's psychological SCREW UP. EVERY religion is contradictory, and bullshit and it's PHILOSOPHY that matters. my country therefore INDIA is the most shittiest place.

  • @patilnikh Positive ATHEISTS are always SOLID THIKERS and this is where it matters a lot to as a whole country. I ONLY WISH, Rabindranath tagore was BORN out of INDIA and MAHATMA GANDHIJI DESTRIYED our country because his emotional ways of controlling people. Positive ATHEISM does not do this, it's tries out to go the core.

Can't I say show me JESUS. Come out JESUS show yourself to me, but then are MANY REASONS to make up as for WHY HE WON'T SHOW UP. This is like ignorance.

  • @patilnikh Also, RELIGION divides people. How many of you here are BUDDHISTS, who never ate a chicken burger, never wore LEATHER JACKET, never wore SHOES made of animal wear. HAHAHA

RELIGION creates CASTES, DISCRMINATION, POWER and all the fuckin nonsense shit that originates FROM NO WHERE!!!!!

This religion shit is fuckin nonesense. BUDDHA wanted to see GOD and he failed in that clearly. This religion should be stopped, and

  • Sorry...iPad. Do you produce these videos On your own? The quality and the content are amazing. I would love to see your videos (especially your deconversion vid) make it beyond the YouTube community. You have real talent. Thanks for posting

  • Thx, man great vid

  • From 0:00 to 1:05 I was like "ughhhhh must... Hold .... On..." and then I was like "Yaaaay Dayvan Cowboy!"

Excellent music choice for that particular transition :)

  • This is sad, Obviously these " former christians" were never really saved or born again. because nobody would purposely move away from the truth once the holy spirit convicts you. Sadly there are many people who say they are christians who are in an unsaved state for certain reasons but they think they have it figuted out.

Paul talks about this in 1 Corinthians.

  • @brandisify Have you ever heard of the "no true scotsman" fallacy? I could equallly say that anyone claiming to have been an atheist that converted to a religion was never a "true" atheist. Because all "true" atheists come to that conclusion through reason and logic, which would mean that's it's impossible to be converted... ever.

Or, you could admit that you have no idea how someone thought or felt about a particular idea, and it's rude to say you know what was going on inside their head.

  • Very beautiful video

  • Anti free thinking video.... beware prisoners of god.

  • @mckaydoohson no its pro free -.-"

  • Oi, isn't that the guy who whines that he gets laughed at because of his stupid creationist ideas... the guy who inspired the great "Why people laugh at creationists"-series?

Ignoring what he said - great video. Keep it up.

*off to the bookstore, needs to buy mental food*

  • This is eery and weird.

  • @GosselinLuva

"Some things are meant to be unknown"

"Meant" to be unknown by whose intention, exactly? God's? I don't believe in God. So your statement is irrelevant unless you can demonstrate that God exists and that he intends for some things to be unknown.

Religious people really blow me away sometimes with these unjustified authoritative assertions that they seem to think atheists will accept unquestioningly just because they do.

  • Who ever said you can't be religious and help the world at the same time? This is bullshit.

  • I think the saying "you can't help those who don't wish to be helped" also applies to religion. That is why they call us possessed, they call us evil etc. They see our words as an attack.

  • @MasterCommanderJT

*sigh* It appears my annotation at the beginning is still not explicit enough. If you had waited to watch the whole video, you would have seen in the second half that I debunk the arguments you so disapproved of in the first half.

  • @Evid3nc3 i wouldn't call it debunking, but it was certainly disagreeing with them

  • @Evid3nc3 I've watched your videos and i have answers for all of your knocks on the Bible. the abraham thing, the judas thing , etc. you simply havent read the bible. But im more interested in how your life has changed since you let go of God so to speak. Has anything changed? besides the way you look at life. how do you live your personal life? based on ethics right? id love to have a healthy debate and try to help you see the whole picture. but also id like to know how your life is now

  • @TheHumanbeingHuman

Have YOU read the bible? How about the part where he lies to the Pharaoh and Abimelech?

  • guys after watching hoax muslim scientific claims of we owe them much in science filled and so on other brainwashing videos around i typed positive atheisms and found this one thanx goodness can the video maker of it replied me where can i down load this and post in my chananel as my first mirror and first video post thanx a lot :)

  • It might be a better idea not to begin so strongly with a Christian message. I disliked this video, at first. I wish I hadn't!

  • @camarocico

I think you can refresh it and put "like" to override the thumbs down.

  • Great video, this gets a thumbs up.

But you used the wrong number of periods; there should have been three or one.

  • I just clicked on the "like" button, and now it has 666 likes. WEIRD.

  • fuck christ

  • @SensationalVoyage Really? These comments are why christians seem oblivious and static in their views. Completely unneccesary.

  • @cvd316316 oblivious? i know what i believe. I know exactly what there is to know. I'm not dissing atheism. I'm sympathizing for you guys more than anything. I'm sorry you guys have no hope left, and this world and in the next.

  • @GosselinLuva Did you notice what I was commenting on? SensationalVoyage said 'Fuck Christ'. To which I said completely unneccesary, which it is. Being hateful towards someone will close thedoor to any real intellectual conversations about their beliefs.

  • @GosselinLuva

"I'm sorry you guys have no hope left"

Did you watch the video? I am perplexed that you could watch this video and think that we have no hope. It doesn't logically follow from what the video says at all. We have hope for creating positive change in the world. That is what the video is about.

(I was trying to reply to your other comment and accidentally clicked the trash button. It was not intentional and YT provides no way to undo such a deletion.)

  • @Evid3nc3 I disagree. I understand you want to make the world a better place and I APPLAUD your for that. I really do! And it's fine that your deleted my comment. :) And I didn't mean in this world as much as I meant the next. And I know you don't agree with that. But it's what I believe and I wish you the best.

  • @GosselinLuva

Fair enough. I wish you the best also.

  • @GosselinLuva we dont have heart attacks based on an excess of useless guilt. how exactly do you pity us? every pastor ive had was about dead at quite a young age. its not healthy. and my hope is that people stop being barbarians and start being adults, only children think the original spider-man comic book proves spider-mans existence.

  • LOL

How can you positively not believe in deity's? thats idiotic

If you dont believe in it then you dont care about those fuckers

  • @darkdestiny0002

There are people don't believe because they view the evidence and information we have gathered contradicts any theistic claims and doesn't support in any way that a deity can exist.

    "LOL

How can you positively not believe in leprechaun's(fairies, unicorns, dragons)? thats idiotic. If you dont believe in it then you dont care about those fuckers "

The information available doesn't support them and we can say they don't exist with a large amount of certainty

  • Although I got a little worried where this was going with the clip in the beginning, this turned out to be a fantastic video. Thank you for this beautiful, poignant message.

  • I almost gave this a thumbs down and quit watching it at the beginning. Keep watching and keep an open mind. This whole video is actually really good.

  • usually i would hat atheist. but this video made me see you aren't so bad after all. but it's those who call us stupid for believing God is what pisses me off. But yeah, humanism is great and christians should have an open mind about that without losing their faith in God.

    i liked it..

  • @lion95805

Well, after all what are you calling atheists ?, read what the bible says about us, listen to what the pope rappresenting over 1 billion catholics says about us.

So what do you care if an atheist calls you stupid, it's peanuts if comparison with what we are receiving from you.

There is no reason that Christians should fell victims when they have 90% of the media power in the would and they use it.

  • @saintpine

if you put it that way, it does sound awful. but since atheists know this is heartbreaking, i personally think they shouldn't treat christians that way too. maybe then, christians would realize this and both sides will tolerate and work together to make a better world. don't you think so too?

  • @lion95805

"since atheists know this is heartbreaking"

I really am used to it, its not heartbreaking some time now.

But don't worry there is no hatred hidden anywhere, in nut cases, a bit of pity.

But in the end we don't have much problems in Italy if we ignore the religious bulling because it has reached an acceptable level.

The church wouldn't exist if there weren't evil atheists as their enemy, we are doing them a good deed to give them reasons to feel superior.

  • @lion95805

In Italy we have about 10 million atheists/agnostics and about 45 million Catholics, about 25 million of these are only traditional, never read the bible and go to church a few times a year, so they are believers but not true followers.

The church has an agreement still active since 1929 (Fascist Mussolini government) that gives them exclusive power and rights for teaching religion at school and placing the crucifix in every state buildings room.

  • @lion95805

In Italy a teacher did a survey because he found it incredible that there where only 2 out of 1300 students that was doing the alternative subject (ethics or history of religion), and found out that over 80% had selected alternative subject (signed by their parents) but where forced into the religion classes.

Even if the Jews or atheists are able to get their rights and do Ethics, they end up in a classroom with a big crucifix besides the teacher.

    Is this respect ?

  • @saintpine

that's why christians should respect you as well as you respect them. see, all we need is mutual understanding. if you say christians are bad, not all are bad. if you say atheists are good, not all are good. so actually, no one is higher then the other..

  • @lion95805

When one side has the power of the media, when it gets exclusive state finance, when it gets exclusive rights in schools, when it has exclusive freedom of speech.

    Which side should start ?

  • @saintpine

    of course, it's the christians.

But do you must wait for that side to tolerate before you? if both sides had that tought, when will this fight end??

  • @lion95805

For all I know the battle has never started on the atheist side, at least wherever I lived in the last 48 years.

Its a one way battle, and some atheist are getting fed up.

Atheist have always turned the other cheek.

  • @saintpine

But what most atheists are doing today is defying God instead of using wisdom to discover the world. But let's set aside our differences and stop arguing. ok?

    ^_^

  • @lion95805 says "But what most atheists are doing today is defying God instead of using wisdom to discover the world. "

This is bullshit, 99% of all atheist couldn't care less about religion and don't talk about it.

I discuss about religion only on Internet.

Can't say the same for religious people especially Christians, where for instance in Italy, the pope and many of his gang members do often attack atheism in their normal monologue without anyway that can contradict them.

  • @saintpine

then you're an alright guy.. listen, i'm sorry for starting a fight with you, and i'm tired, i'd rather live my life with God than fighting in His name.. aren't you bored with our argument? it's taking us no where near our goals..

  • @lion95805

A woman told us that her son had problems with the violent stories in the old testament, so she decided to not sign him for religion the next year.

Half way threw the year, her son had nightmares and she found out that he was still in religion classes.

The headmaster said that they had made a mistake with the interpretation of the form she filled in.

"Religion" was already ticked off, she scribbled over it and ticked ethics, very dishonest from the school.

  • @saintpine

You are right, but how long should I go ahead turning the other cheek, it took me 40 years to come out, if you follow my messages in the various video, I revert to offence after ignoring attacks on me for many messages.

I always think that examples works, but unfortunately too many Christians think its their rights to offend atheists, they have divine moral support, they are doing a good deed to allow atheists to understand.

  • Bad dogma can't take on good ideas and win.

  • LMAO "YouTube Career".......

  • Your videos are so impacting, and I don't even need a simulacrum to experience it.

  • so im satan because im a atheist... fail.

  • VenomFangX reminds me of the leader of The Fellowship of the Sun in True Blood. A deranged christian and a horrible person.

  • When did and where did Satan do this?

  • Awesome video. Well done.

  • this is true! Religious people think its negative to be an athiest. I really want people to be happy. I really want world peace. I believe that people are good but religions keep us behind in evolution.

  • How do you justify this with logic, reason and science the concept of the basis of our American Freedom that; All Men are created equal? Does not science with evolution and natural selection disagree with this logic and show us it is in fact a dog eat dog world? Where does this assumed theory of all men being created equal come from if not from God? Is this true or just made up to make people be good?

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN

To be fair, I'm not certain the Bible gives much indication that the God therein intended to create us all as equal. Two examples: 1) the 10 commandments speak of giving your slaves the day off on the sabbath, but does not enjoin you to release them from bondage, as you would an equal. 2) the Jews were said to be the "chosen people of God". That honestly sounds like they've been set upon a pedestal as not equal, but greater than the rest of the world's people.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN

(cont.) By contrast, the morality inscribed in the instinctual portion of our brain, by evolution and thousands of generations living as a social animal, seems a better source of the notion of "All men are created equal". With knowledge of this shared ancestry with all of nature, we can know that each of us is roughly the same number of steps away from some ancestor shared with another species (or many). It's a humbling and "equalizing" realization, don't you think? Thank you.

  • Hey what song is that? I love it!

  • when the music started at 1.03 it well shit me up

  • Beautiful video!

  • I am a disciple of Jesus, and I really like this videos. Love each other.

  • I love what you teach!!!!

  • Here's my dilemma on atheistic evangelism.

The placebo effect is very powerful. If a doctor comes convinces you a painkiller is powerful, you will feel little pain even if it's sugar. But those endorphins only kick in if you don't know you are being lied to.

The same with prayer. Many people cannot live without their belief in a god. It's a white lie that gives hope and purpose.

Why would I want to take that away from someone who wasn't already in the process of loosing it?

  • I know what you mean but if the choice is between a placebo and a real drug that has been proven, I say give them the real drug. We shouldnt force it on anyone (that doesn't work for most anyway), but let people know what we believe, why we believe it and let them make up their own minds.

  • Few placebos have side effects. However, Christianity and many other beliefs have side effects, ranging from personal loss of ability to think logically, to taking away the freedom of others for no reason other than words in a book.

  • I mostly agree with you TuucciZ, but studies have shown that "prayer is effective" if the person knows they are being prayed for, and believes that prayer works. Of course this only goes for thing the brain has some influence on, like pain.

But religion does enable people with purpose and peace, and I agree at a cost. It's easy to live without these beliefs if you grow up without religion or give up on faith early on. But for those who are taken in, giving up on religion is devastating.

  • comment part 2:

Not everyone is psychologically strong enough to be able to live a happy /sane life without a belief in a god. I think lifetime atheists have difficulty relating to this. If someone's version of religion is minimally dangerous to those around them, and is integral to their happiness and sanity, is it worth poking holes in their beliefs for?

  • @TuucciZ

true.. but not all christians are like that. i live in a community where Christians good people and no taking freedom and making a person stupid.

sorry, just had to point that out^_^

  • @lion95805 There are good Christians, just like there a bad atheists.

I just wish I was lucky enough to get to live with good Christians, rather than bad ones.

  • @TuucciZ i grew up as a atheist with the bad christans

  • Unfortunately in islam, many people find a changing world view shows weakness and is not comparable to the solid, anchored wisdom of god.

They also feel that we are deluded of our own "power" to know the unknown, & thus our efforts of understanding the universe are futile.

Lastly, they believe we are trying to discourage them as we are deluded by the devil - so no matter what science may appear to answer today, will change & be proven false in a few years.

I hope the athiest logic triumphs.

  • I like the plink-plunky music!

  • this is trying to say that science only proves atheism but the way i see it... it proves the bible to b true. just because we can use scientific "facts" doesn't mean we have to discount God... ppl use science to "prove" whatever they believe...

and th3king86 just PROVED that atheist r rude also

I am a christian and i respect the beliefs of Christians and atheist alike we should b able 2 debate facts without calling each other names

i hope u find the truth

  • Well, I agree with you partly. There is certainly no need for name calling or being rude, and I enjoy a civil debate.

But I don't think science proves or disproves the Bible and the existance of God. Sure, science shows evolution to be true and that the earth is very old, so it rules out a literal interpretation of Genesis, but beyond that, how can something that deals with the natural world prove or disprove something supernatural?

  • @thelivingfreely I tend to disagree with you about people using science to prove what they believe. I find most scientists are happy to admit when they don't know something or can't explain it. I feel that religious people are more likely to try and interpret things in a way that 'prove' their pre-determined conclusion (that is, that God exists). As an Atheist I would question there is sufficient evidence to believe in God, rather than saying there is any evidence to disprove his existance.

  • shut up you christian moron. What are you posting this video on YouTube for? Is this what devote YOUR career to?

Anyone in the right mind knows that god is all fantasy while science has been proven. Open your eyes!

  • Did you watch the whole video, or just spit out a comment a third of the way through? I think you'll find you're arguing against someone who completely agrees with you.

  • @Arkalius80 My bad then. I'll delete that comment.

  • Ahh but it seems that maybe the first part of the video was actually recorded by someone other than this uploader. You can see a URL at the bottom of the window.

  • huh..wait a second, there was no threatening at all of eternal damnation if i DIDNT accept this view on life...makes you wonder who is pushing their beliefs on who. 5 stars fosho

  • I like a lot!

  • More arguments should be like this. Rationality instead of fear and hate.

  • This is the most cogent and powerful YouTube video I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!

  • I watched this video in the 44th hour after midnight and saw that it was good. And then I rested, or at least I will now. Night night YouTube! \o/

  • This!!!

  • Nice video... I wish this was far more viral than the hate based videos on both sides of the discussion.

  • Comment removed

  • What a great last quote at the end:

"We think the future that we will find together is greater than the assumptions of our past."

  • Speaking of Einstein, GOD I AM REALLY FUCKING PISSED OFF AT THOSE FUCKING CHRISTIAN SMARTASSES QUOTING EINSTEIN LIKE HE WAS ONE OF THEM DUMB, MIND-FUCKED, JESUS FETISHED COCKSUCKERS!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH! THE GREAT EINSTEIN WAS A FUCKING PHYSICIST, NOT A GUY WHO BELIEVES IN THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!

  • My only wish is... to transform friends of God into friends of man, believers into thinkers, devotees of prayer into devotees of work, candidates for the hereafter into students of the world, Christians who, by their own procession and admission, are "half animal, half angel" into persons, into whole persons. -- Ludwig Feuerbach (Lectures on the Essence of Religion)

  • @KasparHauser4

    Wow, so powerful...

  • @KasparHauser4

Not enough people around here remember Feuerbach. Kudos.

  • @KasparHauser4

I love feuerbach but this quote is new but fantastic... could you tell me where you got this from?

  • For The Win!

  • well really there is nothing to fight about. If you are right and there is a God than good whatever, there should be no reason to get upset when people challenge your beliefs.

Since we all die anyways and realistically there is no afterlife or God, what is there to fight about? Some people can handle the truth and others need the comfort of religion. Simple as that

  • Well... some people like to shove their religion down other people's throats by using the force of law to enforce conformity to what their beliefs tell them is right instead of making their own judgements.

I believe everyone has the right to believe as their conscience dictates. I prefer that people choose to believe only things for which their is sufficient evidence, but I can't force that. However I do not recognize the rights of people to force their beliefs on others.

  • If every one could see your videos the world might be a better place :P

  • This is what needs to be practiced

  • It may be like comparing apples to oranges, but I agree. After having looked at both, I find science to be far superior to any faith, religion, or belief system. Compared with all the hocus pocus of relgion, science is a breath of fresh air. And to think, science is still in its infancy!!

  • Would you like to PM me so we could continue this discussion in a less limited environment?

  • "We"... yes, you do speak for me. Well said.

If only it didn't have VFX at the beginning... I understand you're showing the contrast, but your message stands on its own.

  • your videos make me jizz in my pants, i prefer them over pornography

  • Evidence, I love you.

  • PS: About those manmade paths: everyone makes their own, from atheist to the killer to a Bishop lost in the distorted lineage of corrupted ideology--- and they all return, or lead back, to the Source that set the clockwork of nature into motion. Call that Source "Nature" or what you will, but from the quantum level to the macro, it permeates all.

  • I've been influenced by Eastern philosophy, and distill as much wisdom as I can from numerous faiths. My most influential Teacher would be Seth from The Seth Material, presented via Jane Roberts; and others such as Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath and Paramahansa Yogananda, Steven Sadleir, and those into the hard science of spirituality such as Gregg Braden, Steven Sadleir and Graham Hancock. (All available on YouTube and highly recommended--their books especially!)

    peace

  • All formalized religions from Western to Eastern are manmade paths through a dark wood, ultimately leading to the same clearing of brilliant light and Love.

    Peace

  • What the f*ck. this guy is hillarious to the point that he is creepy.

  • I am not opposed to people's right to believe whatever they want. I do, however, think that Christianity is a bane on society with little if any redeeming value. I, personally, am trying to get rid of Christianity.

  • haha. vonom will make a good inquisitor.

  • Good Video, It appeals to both logic & emotion. I have found most atheists to be very easy to talk to & engage in conversation. Actually easier than my fellow 'Christians'. lol

  • "Actually easier than my fellow 'Christians'"

With someone as open-minded and rationally-minded as yourself, Tom, that is no surprise to me.

You will find in my next video that I was having eerily similar conclusions as you are with the professor giving me very similar responses as I am giving you now.

  • The music was amazing

  • really really good, and I don't say that too often...

  • im a christian your all noovs !!?!?!?!? lololo
