very interesting, i get less than the average :( i think you raise a few good points but you left me with more questions than answers. Your views on capitalism confuse me, you say that you think Walmart should use their profit for healthcare programs. Isnt profit the point of a buissiness? If they supply poor wages, poor healthcare, put stores out of buissness, why do people still work/shop there?
okay- walmart has MILLIONS- let me repeat that- MILLIONS of extra dollars. While the head honchos are as rich as all get out, people down at the lower end of the food chain are getting only 14k a year. (by the way, ztkallday, I'm doing a 10-page essay on this, so thx!)
The point of a business is not to put another out of business. Moreover, there are so many more walmarts today that are having smaller businesses shut down, or making drastically less of a profit do to Walmart's amazing low
Walmart is just a bad store I would not buy any of the overpriced crap they sell.

As of 2009, there are 7,873 Walmart stores over the globe. 4,258 of those are in the US. Think of how many small businesses that is terminating.
