This breaks my heart. My 3 year old picked out an ornament of a soldier that sings I'll be home for Christmas to put on our tree. He said "Now Daddy here too" He's currently deployed for a 12 month tour and we are spending our the second Christmas in a row without him. God bless them all.
It makes me sad. i have a two year old and a 1 year old. My husband is on is third deployment, but he is on a 15 month tour right now. he missed two christmas's in a row and only new his daughter for 7 days before he left, and left his son when he was barely one. But iguess that is the family sacrifice. i love my country, but we want him home. i love you and i miss you baby

It is difficult not having them around - everyday is a worry, and you always miss them...but man, the homecoming is amazing.
