Can you remember how the lanes were? Would you say it was a light, medium, or heavy oil condition? I throw the ball very similar to you and I want the same reaction as this with the Reign i'm about to buy. I just want to be able to throw it hard and straight up the lane like this, but i'm afraid if i drill it too weak or strong i won't be able to. Thanks
@mathxprt run of the mill typical house shot. medium to meduim-heavy i'd say. i'd say depending on your rev rate drill it strong and throw it faster if it hooks too much. for me it's easier to take hand out of the ball than rip on it more. it wil hit regardless. the ball carries quite well
@cdhbowler Thanks for the advice! Also, do you have any idea what your ball speed is in this video; or at least what your ball speed normally is? I'm going to drop down to 14 lbs that way I can consistently throw 16mph.
@mathxprt i threw about 16 to 17 in this video. i'd say speed isn't as important as accuracy and consistancy. it does no good to throw it a hundred miles per hour and miss the headpin half the time. if you can be within two boards of your target at 13 miles per hour, you will beat more people than you might think
this just goes to show that you dont need 600 revs to be a good bowler im not sure what my rev rate is but i have a lot of revs and when i need to move right its very hard for me to throw it straighter because i cannot really change my wrist to make less revs that is also why i have a little trouble with 10 pins!!
CDHBOWLER if im not mistaken your a stroker maybe a tweener. Standing about 5 throwing down 10 maybe 15. PIN is above your ring. So your getting Lenght and backend. Good bowling Man. And to everyone who has a question about this ball this iball is a beast. And if your looking for a ball to compliment this one then i would definetly say get the Storm Invasion.
if you want a in between layout have the PIN above your ring finger. Thats how my pro shop did mine. that way you can learn the reaction of the ball. then if your a beginner bowler once you get the fell of the ball and how you play wether your a high rev or low rev high speed or medium speed player and then you can have the ball tweaked from there. Thats how i was taught. You dont want an agressive ball or not to agressive ball if the way you bowl doesnt match up.
@ejishungryforsubway I would say that the reign is a little more aggressive. I have never thrown a fast but I have seen two guys throw that ball. Form what I can tell, the fast is less aggressive and it doesn't snap quite as hard off the dry. The fast is still skid flip dont get me wrong but i think the reign snaps a little harder and hokks a little more. They are both great balls! I hope that helps. good luck!
For everyone who is wondering how the ball is drilled, I have a little advice. find a GOOD pro shop. It is very important to have your ball driller find your PAP before your ball is drilled. He will know what that means. If you want your reign to react like mine does, simply ask your pro shop operator to drill the ball for length and snap on the backend. Again make sure that he measures your PAP because everyone's PAP is different so it makes a big difference if you find your PAP! Good luck!
that simply means that you don't know the layout yourself. people who ask you what layout you used are most likely asking because they want to know, because people with similar releases or physical games to yours can properly judge what the ball will most likely do for them, and may want to use a similar layout.
@Taz86 Correct. I do not really know the layoutt. Sadly I am not that knowledgable about layouts so I can't really provide the exact layout for people. I really wish I could. All I can say for sure is that the pin is above the fingers. I know that's not very helpful but it is the best I can do.
it is pin up. i will try to upload a photo to this page soon so everyone can see exactly how it is drilled. it is pin up though and was drilled for length and flip on the backend. check back a bit later for the photo. thanks
I am looking at this ball, how do you have it drilled? The line that is being used in the video is similar to the line I like to use. Also the bowler is not a cranker. Thanks Randal

I just got this ball recently, and my average went up 14 pins. It's an awesome ball.

@OblivionFanatic1 I couldn't agree more. It makes me look way better than I am because of the pin action it creates. Great ball!
